I just got into this. It took me about a week, and I’m on season 5. I wish I could post live. I’ve been watching while reading through the old threads, and was dying when I saw “Coooorrrllll!!!”

:russ:
Not to kill your enthusiasm, but get ready for a few bad years before it gets good again, this year. Season 5 was so dope, 6 is pretty good...i always thought 7/8 would be better with a binge watch tho so it may be better than the week to week experience.

I barely got throw season 4. I fast forwarded through most of the moonshine episode with Daryl and Beth. Thank goodness they picked it up with that crazy ass little blonde girl who killed her sister.

@CreepyMcCreeperson ^^ this.

Like dude said, Season 7 & 8 will probably be better for you than most since you’re binging it but they’re still by far the weakest 2 seasons, but if you’re skipping through some slower episodes be prepared to skip through some god awful Tara, Beth, Eugene & Maggie centric episodes :ld:

Stick with it tho cos the current season has a new show runner and it’s the best it’s been in years.

Fast forwarded through the first half of the hospital shyt with Beth and Everybody Hates Chris. But I’m sticking with it, and DVR’ing season 9. I’m going to wait to watch, even though I started watching Lost in the middle of the next to last season, while simultaneously going back and forth to Blockbuster to rent the DVDs. I did the same with Grey’s Anatomy, but I quit Grey’s a long time ago.

How would you rate the seasons so far?

Don’t get me wrong Seasons 7 & 8 aren’t unwatchable, the main villain is dope and the plot lines are there, but the show runner at the time along with the writers completely fumbled an arc that should of been amazing, and at some points must of been on some shyt because some of the things they tried to get away with were straight up disrespectful to the viewer lol, some Gems in there but far and few between.

Thinking about it I’m not sure if I rated S2 too low :jbhmm:

it gets shyt on and it did drag at parts, but there was some real classic episodes in there..

Shane Killing Otis

Shane Opening the Barn

Rick getting his first human kills in the bar

Shane and Rick taking that young dude out to kill him

Rick killing Shane

The farm being overrun

Shane was ahead of his time, underrated season.

Overall, it took time to keep me watching. I’d tried 2 other times to get into it, but after the pilot, I lost interest. After I pushed through the early episodes of season one, there was enough curiosity to keep going.

Season 2 was good. Season 3 was the best so far in terms of being engaging the entire season. Season 4 had some good episodes individually. The episode with Carl, Michonne, and Rick with crazy Morgan was excellent.

Season 5 is good so far. I wouldn’t put it into GOAT category, but the action is good, and some of the characters are interesting. But with the turnaround of cast members, it’s sometimes difficult to remember names.

Yeah season 5 is when the show starts to open up in terms of the cast, especially the second half, I fukk with season 5 heavy tho because it has two completely different feels, the first half is them on the move with Ricks transformation into a cold blooded killer (everything Shane was mostly and Rick realising he was right) but then the second half has them settling down somewhere, I won’t spoil it but it has a completely different feel/atmosphere to any of the other places they’ve settled in up to that point, at the time of it airing it felt real fresh.

Actually going to watch the finale live tonight. Will be the first time in several years I watched an episode live.
