That's cool but it sounds bad to our ears and we don't wanna listen to it.

Sometimes, BREH, its that simple.

It sounds bad cause you don't understand what he's talking about.
Now if you thought the concept was wack, the subject of matter was wack that would be 1 thing. But since you can't understand what he's talking about, you don't have the right to call it wack. Maybe we are raised different, but I won't hate or love something I don't understand.

Not really, I'm simply talking about the beat, hook, etc...you can rhyme about jesus' life and the rapture, but if it "SOUNDS" like zone out, we don't wanna hear it...

You've never seen anyone fukking with Dig a hole? Change Clothes (it was just top 10 in the fukking country cause no one fukked with it)..

And Jigga that nikka, I did it my way were loved everywhere. Jigga that nikka was the track at all the parties and clubs, club anthem for the winter 2001 I remember my cousin, brother and them always bumpin that shyt at pre parties.
Had the whole city wondering what the fukk Evisu was.

Guilty until proven innocent was so loved that the cats decided to make a fukking album based on the love the joint was getting on the streets.

You sound like you are 18 years old and grew up with no one bumpin hiphop in your family.

I agree on that some of these tracks didn't age very well if you never heard them until a decade later, but they were all very well received when they dropped.

, I can't respect your posting ever again.
That's one of the illest joints on the album, describing that street shyt doesn't get a lot better than that right there.

That's how it reads when a real nikka, who seen it, done it spits it not those fantasy lyrics that 99% of rappers be spitting.

:wtf:
You think them baby bars cut it? Breh, I'm a Jay stan and all but slashing swords in defense of obvious Jigga failures is laughable.

How the fukk is buying TV sets in cars some exclusive shyt that only Jay could do :what:

Only contenders I could see teeing off Paper Chase as the weakest cut from Vol. 2, that people would say, is Can I Get A even though the production on that >>>> Paper Chase

Most of the beats off Vol. 2 sound dated as fukk anyways

Truuuuuu!

I hate that excuse. Unless a nikka says "yo I don't know WTF he talkin' bout so I don't like it", why do people jump to that conclusion?

"Nah nah son, it's cause you don't understand, you gotta comprehend what he meant when..." Nah nikka, I DO understand, it just sounds like shyt and I don't care.

Change Clothes being top 10 in the country doesn't change the fact that it was bland and generic, Young Forever was a top hit and that shyt didn't go over so well with the fans now did it.

You can make a case for Guilty Until Proven Innocent with R. Kelly, but its really really average at best. How a song becomes dated doesn't concern with when and what year you pop in the tape, but the sound it carried when it was made. You can't tell me those whistles were hot in any era. There are plenty of Jigga songs that sound dated as hell but are inevitably classics/great songs.

You can also make a case for Jigga That nikka, but I am not hearing any of that with I Did It My Way, there is absolutely nothing special about that song cept the sample and bass.

We should make a worst of Nas. A worst of Jay is just bad. A worst of Nas would be near unlistenable.

I actually like Beach Chair its not amongst his worst, but the more I listen to Lost Ones, I actually dislike it.

I think a lot of the posters that are liking his "wack" stuff (and personal tastes are subjective) are proving that Jay-Z could literally rap the alphabet and people would love it.

Most of the songs, like 99% of them, mentioned on here ARE indeed trash. Y'all can't possibly defend that stuff and then bash others for their less than stellar material which everyone already knows.
