It’s funny how everyone is saying Jericho was the best debut (me included), but Jericho and the higher ups in the back hated it, because they felt that he was making too many dumb faces, which made him look like a comedic character. Then the verbal lashing by the Rock at his height didn’t help things.

I actually didn’t realize the stupid faces he made until Jericho pointed it out himself on a podcast I heard. It’s still the goat debut to me

crowd saw his name. Not him. His name and they lost their shyt. Yes Chicago is a whole different type of crowd. But still.

I haven't watched in several years, they lost me as a fan forever but I still like discussing the stuff I grew up watching but in my last few years something that bothered me to no end was a huge return or debut they would waste on shytty cities with dead crowds. Having him come out in Chicago one of their hottest crowds set him off on the right foot.
