Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
man does those East African women in DC be messing with brothas? I pulled 2 in my life, one in ATL and the other in Addis. I see them on IG and be ready to slide in the DMs
but yeah, they have one Ethiopian spot in MIami and i love that spot.

I got the vibe in DC/Maryland that they stick to their own but this one Ethiopian waitress was so impressed about the knowledge I had of Ethiopia that she gave me her number and invited me to her families BBQ.

Goes to show you that some immigrants do think blacks in America are clueless about Africa when that isn’t actually the case.

Haiti for fish?:mjlol:

I've been to some Haitian spots and the fish is not on point...they must have taken their fish lessons from the french:picard:

- look at this fish, it's terrible

- look at jamaican brown stew, look at that sauce . You can pour that in a glass and drink it for lunch.

Nothing again haitian food but I'm never getting fish from Haitian spots, ever!

Haiti and Jamaica make the exact same fried fish. And why is the fish in the video terrible? Did you try it or are you comparing the way it’s made differently?

I feel there's subtleties between Jamaican fish and Haitian fish, spices, peppers, sauces ...but it also comes down to the chef in the kitchen.

The fish in the video doesn't looking good compared to the heartiness of the Jamaicans dish. Presentation is a big piece of it... have you seen Jamaicans go in on YouTube about people who don't cook their food right . Its a serious thing .

There was a Facebook post about it and they pretty much ed kicked a girl out the Jamaican community because she dared to put up what looked to be unseasoned chicken in the tube

I know about the Jamaican girl you’re talking about.

Haitians also take cooking very seriously also, but I don’t see the fish as terrible but rather cooked differently. Chef Creole in Miami who is known by people all over races and backgrounds always gets positive reviews for his fish and the fish videos I see on YouTube seem to all have positive comments.

I only see two different variations of fish here. My Mother can cook some bomb ass fish.

happy to have a discussion. I've eaten alot of caribbean foods and been to the actual islands, but I'm not Anthony Bordain either.

But I can bounce between eschovitz, brown stew, Roti, and aloo and be happy the rest of my life. Not even throwing Ackee and Saltfish in yet. I do know Jamaicans are typically the cleanest too when it comes to food, they don't play with that shyt.

Not a fan of ackee and saltfish, but down with everything else.

Dominican food may possibly be up there if I had some more of their food. I just made a modified vegan version of a Dominican breakfast(Mangu with sausage, eggs and cheese.) and that shyt banging.
