People really don’t think being car dependent correlates to obesity lol. Silly people lol
I think it's deeper than that. A lot of places are known for their food. NYC sandwiches are known to be HUGE, but NYC ain't on the list. NYC got more restaurants per capita than most if not all cities in the US, but NYC ain't on the list.
It's cultural.
No people want to defend their regional habits so they will hand wave it away.People really don’t think being car dependent correlates to obesity lol. Silly people lol
it’s a hardcore fact that it does!

To begin addressing this public health problem, it is important to know where obesity is concentrated in the US. One study took a look at the top 100 most populated cities in the country to answer this question. Researchers counted people who identified as obese or overweight and considered 14 other points as well. These additional points included questions about physical activity, consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables, problems with high blood pressure, and instances of diabetes

Ok. It's not the biggest reason like you said in the post I quoted. I drive 10-12 hours a day, I should be 600lbs if it was the biggest reason. Let me read the article you posted tho.Car dependency is another contributing factor that's been documented.
