Gettin' It In
Dope flick i need to copp the blu ray
Also you see the exact version of Melina when he was asked the type he likes before he passes out at Recall.
My favorite movie of all time
People sleep of Arnold as an actual actor but he killed this movie. He played naive, confused, out of his element so well
Too many classic lines
I wanna see a prequel series about The Agency. Richter and his buddy, Hauser, Cohagen. shyt like that
Bout to make this joint my ringtone
How does total recall hold up in 2019?
Still a fun action flick. I quote this movie still. Arnold not being a regular joe was never even a thought when watching this granted I wasnt aware of the source material. He still very good in this movie, one of his most charismatic acting he's done.Pretty damn well. Minus the idea of Arnold being a regular ass dude with a regular ass job. Rob Botin’s special effects are still top fukking notch and the direction is still good.

Verhoeven was a beast when it came to violence and gore. And like you mentioned, great effects.
But when you really think about it. It was a perfect role for him. One liners and the over the top violence, stunts and neck cracking fights.Yeah in the moment it’s not noticeable that he’s clearly not fit for the part lol but the more research I did, and finding out he’s one reason why cronenberg bounced, I get it

That stuff was added one he was cast. Once he came on, they rewrote it.But when you really think about it. It was a perfect role for him. One liners and the over the top violence, stunts and neck cracking fights.

A regular dude is only a opinion. Everybody has a different opinion and the Ferrell version sucked azz soThat stuff was added one he was cast. Once he came on, they rewrote it.
The short story describes Quaid as a regular dude. The idea he could be a secret agent was laughable. Almost like a “how in the hell could peter Parker be Spider-Man?” kinda thing. So the role was written that way. Then Arnold came on and the role was rewritten to suit him and his talents and limits etc etc

Dream.
First clue: Quaid lives in Mexico City and his "dream girl" is a Mexican woman in Melina.
Melina is actually his wife. Lori is the dream girl. This whole movie is Quaid strapped into a Rekall chair being lobotomized. He is inventing his own reality before everything goes white. They are literally trying everything to stop the schizo-episode he's going through. He was the friend of Harry who got the special offer and nearly got himself lobotomized.
Full disclosure, this is my favorite movie of all time. Whether you believe it to be real or a dream, it's a wonderful, well-crafted sci-fi adventure. Wish they made more like these.
