Well damn how’d you feel about inception :lupe:
Loved the concept, not a big fan of the film since Nolan is too busy being Nolan. Love the score more than the film. Memento is more my taste it's not about dreams but memory and most people forget their dreams immediately upon waking up. Memento reminds me of someone trying to remember their dreams or not knowing what's real and what's not.

I think Hauser is the real person. He went undercover into the Mars society with Melina and them, but ended up agreeing with their cause and joined them. Cohagen finds out, pulls him out, tries his best to wipe his memory, then sets him up with Lori to observe him and figure out the next move. That all goes south when Quaid goes to Recall and his mind merges all the realities. But throughout the confusion in his heart and mind, I think he remained closest to the revolutionary, reformed Hauser wanting to help the people of Mars, which is exactly what he did.

That’s how I read it. 1000%

Dream.

First clue: Quaid lives in Mexico City and his "dream girl" is a Mexican woman in Melina.

Melina is actually his wife. Lori is the dream girl. This whole movie is Quaid strapped into a Rekall chair being lobotomized. He is inventing his own reality before everything goes white. They are literally trying everything to stop the schizo-episode he's going through. He was the friend of Harry who got the special offer and nearly got himself lobotomized.

Full disclosure, this is my favorite movie of all time. Whether you believe it to be real or a dream, it's a wonderful, well-crafted sci-fi adventure. Wish they made more like these.

I think he's a special agent, he's a big muthafukka and nice with the tool. If he's just a regular guy how is he so nice with it? I'm not suddenly a mechanic in my dreams and can know how to work on engines like that. I get the special agent package but you ain't gonna know all the little intricacies

plus it seem like his real memories was bleeding in he had that mars dream before Recall
