It always was multiplication Or division left to right and whatever comes first. Could be either division or multiplication but not necessarily multiplication before division. Even calculators get that wrong apparently lol

The Casio. Parenthesis gets taken care of first always. But even if you don't know that, understand a calculator app on a phone is oblivious to the order of operations as most of them are programmed to read any equation left to right like text. It makes the app easier to program. And it fulfills the needs of basic math equations, which is what they're designed for in the first place.

5(x-3)/x(y+6)

First part of equation will give you x-5/x

Second part will give you (y+6)(x-5)/5(x-3)

Simplify and you'll have 5(x-3)/x(y+6)


Or some shyt like that, I'm prolly missing something but yea. I thought I let this shyt behind in the dust when I switched outta engineering

almost, but you switched your 3 and 5 up. It should be 5(x-3), which is 5x-15. That kinda switchup happens often when ppl go through a problem too quickly. You do that shyt in calculus on one line and could waste 15 minutes

Multiplication and division are same so do the left side first. Same with add and subtract
