That's not necessarily true. It ultimately depends on the quality of the studio and the artists

Jurassic Park still holds up. So does Terminator 2. The older Spiderman movies look decent

We have examples as recently as Black Panther of bad cgi.

There are multiple variables involving cgi that transcend quality being anachronistically based

ya'll posting old movies when at the time was acceptable. 10-15 years later if you go back of course its gonna look shytty but at the time it was cool.

Nah B. Me and my cousin walked out the theater laughing at the awfulness of that movie's effects. It was clearly inferior to movies like T2 & Jurassic Park that came out years before it.
We didn't have that reaction at all to the first MK, which also had better cg
