In WWE.com's own fan poll 47% of the people were looking forward to Punk/Taker. Rock/Cena came in at 21%.

I agree with you about the marketability, but once again we are NOT talking about Vince's wallet here. Can we ever separate that from our conversation.

I said what is OUR main event. Some of you disgust me with the constant fascination with the financial business that you see nothing from.

Taker/Punk isnt going to be the most.... technical match in history.

but we are going to get a HELL of a story in the ring.

It seems like every year, Taker's ring regimen goes down, but the story in the ring goes UP.

Let's see...how did the go home shows of WM XX week end? With Rock and Foley headlining Raw and with Stone Cold slapping around Lesnar and getting his AV back.

Cute poll but the Taker match didn't even have a story behind it until Bearer died which means they had something awful planned and that in itself shows this was just a filler streak match.

The main event goes through Team Bring It as usual...as always.

Just two weeks ago you guys were saying how forced this feud was now it's the main event

Agendas, man. Agendas. First they wanted it to be Rock vs Cena vs Punk in the main event when Taker was nowhere in sight and no one knew he would be there...now that he's there and Rock is going worldwide promoting 3 movies/filiming Hero while showing up to Raw as the part time WWE Champ, all of a sudden this Punk feud is the gulliest shyt since Pillman pulled a gun on Austin

For everyone saying that the two biggest stars in the business should be in the main event at Mania, Rock/SCSA at WM XIX would love to talk to you(Angle/Lesnar closed out the show and I don't think you'd say they were bigger stars than Rock and Austin were). Taker/Punk should close out the show because of the build. Rock/Cena will close out the show because they're the bigger names.

WM 19 was a whole different story. They were trying to put over Lesnar as the new top name in pro wrestling..Vince was on that steez the second half of 2002. Rock vs Austin III didn't have to have the last match...it was gonna have the best impression in history no matter what.

I'm actually looking forward to Lesnar/HHH the most

I don't think the match will steal the show or anything, but I'm genuinely interested in seeing who wins whereas the other two matches seem predictable.

HHH/Lesnar is the only match out of the three where I can see either guy going over. HHH took the L at SS so it might be Brock's turn to return the favor, BUT I can also see HHH losing. What does he really have left to prove? He barely wrestles as is, and he's done programs with just about everyone on the roster.

Then in here it's 38-18 in favor of Punk/Taker.
