Rock really isn't in this business.

As much as Taker is a part-time guy, he's known for nothing else. He was much more dedicated to his match build than Rocky was

Rock has made more appearances in a year than Undertaker. Undertaker shows up 4 or 5 weeks before WM season to get his yearly win that everyone knows he's always going to get. That's pretty selfish in my eyes and doesn't deserve a main event slot, especially against a non-draw like Punk.

If you want to talk about match quality, yeah, Undertaker/Punk will probably be better but it doesn't have the star power behind it that Rock/Cena does.

The main event of Wrestlemania should be the match you can put on posters and commercials and generate the most interest.

I love the forum...but a bunch of dudes sitting First Row for the biggest show of the year aren't indicative of the viewing audience as a whole. People care about Rock and Cena because they're Rock and Cena. The build hasn't been spectacular, but Cena's generation of fans and Rock's generation of fans are so invested in the guys that it'll still be the big match. People were going apeshyt for both guys last night and it'll be next level at Mania...again.

and honestly, the cheapest of cheap heat feud between UT and Punk hasn't been all that great to me either. It's had its moments - but it was an absolute lob and only makes Sunday's outcome more predictable. I'm definitely looking forward to the match, but I'm not going to shake my fist because its not going on last. It shouldn't.

In WWE.com's own fan poll 47% of the people were looking forward to Punk/Taker. Rock/Cena came in at 21%.

I agree with you about the marketability, but once again we are NOT talking about Vince's wallet here. Can we ever separate that from our conversation.

I said what is OUR main event. Some of you disgust me with the constant fascination with the financial business that you see nothing from.

More CPA talk. Tell me when they cut you a check dipshyt.

We all know Rock has been around more, but not for his fued leading up to Mania. He has not built his feud and been there like Taker has. He comes in and kisses the ass of the home crowd spits out a few catchphrases and leaves.

This aint shyt but cross promotion.

You can say that Taker/Punk was built up on cheap heat because of Paul Bearer's death, but you got to admit, it got people wanting to see Taker beat Punk's ass. People want to see Rock/Cena II but they don't want to see it for two reasons
1) The match just happened last year. I know you can say the same about Taker/HHH from last year, but at least they built that HITC match up to make you care. Plus you add the fact that HBK was the guest ref in that match and you didn't know if he'd screw Taker over to help HHH or screw HHH over to keep HHH from doing something he didn't do. The build to Twice In A Lifetime has been :ehh: at best or :snoop: at its worse.
2) It's a damn near foregone conclusion that Cena's going to win. At least last year Vince could have went either way with it(he made the right call in having Rock win btw) but unless Cokeboy screws with us and has Rock win and then drop the belt to Cena at Extreme Rules, you already know that Cena's getting his W back.

Resorting to name calling? You get too emotional when you discuss professional wrestling. You don't like the Rock, we get it. Stop letting yourself get so worked up over it and just enjoy Undertaker vs. Punk wherever it happens to be slotted at the show.

If you want to know who should be THE main event, just ask WWE Magazine:

Nah I don't like fools who are concerned with money they`ll never see. And do yourself a favor and actually read a thread before you come with that stuff.

Unless you're a big investor in WWE please save the "draw" talk. You sound like a clown.

The real problem is your inability to see the big picture. It's not just about the money. It's about the fact that more money indicates more overall interest. Yeah, the little WWE polls are fun to use whenever it suits our arguments - but that data isn't backed up at the arenas. It isn't backed up at the gate. You're not going to sell a show with projected record numbers using Rock and Cena as headliners and then switch it up because the WWE.com poll said otherwise.

No the real problem here is your lack of reading comprehension. I blame than on your English teachers and your school district.

I`d like to see what TSC thinks. What is going to be OUR main event
