Kubrick easily. No other director on this poll matches his consistency. If Coppolla had stopped making movies after Apocalypse Now, he'd up there for me too.

Lynch is only Hollywood director that matches Kubrick 's consistency. I get that he might be too out there some brehs, but come on man.

I'm also surprised Spike isn't an option. He's not the most consistent but he had a run.

We talking streaks or careers? Because Coppola's 70s streak is the answer.

Obviously guys like Hitchcock, Kubrick, Scorsese were more consistent over a longer period of time.

Of the list it is Kubrick with ease. Villeneuve and the Coen Brothers are shameful omissions.

And I guess they are possibly not considered Hollywood but this list also really misses the following directors:

Orson Welles
Werner Herzog
Sergio Leone
Akira Kurosawa
Takeshi Kitano
Bong Joon-ho
Andrei Tarkovsky
Michael Powell & Emeric Pressburger

All of whom have streaks stronger than half of that list in the thread.
