Aight who's in our cabinet? For VP I'd keep :smugbiden: for the simple fact that I'd be an inexperienced outsider and I'd need an OG who knows the inner-workings of Congress and how to play the game and would be loyal soldier. I couldn't think of anyone better for that role.

My Attorney General would be Elliott Spitzer. I'd make Nouriel Roubini Treasury Security and Krugman director of the National Economic Council. I'd put Brooksley Born back in charge of the CTFC because she saw the unregulated derivatives market was a ticking timebob. Ralph Nader would be in charge of the Consumer Protection Bureau. Van Jones as Secretary of Labor.

I don't know about my foreign policy team. I'd have to research.

BarNone. hed be best able to deal with the contradictions of the office. some of you wannabe mumia abu jamal ass muhfuggas wouldnt br able to handle some of the cold grimey realities of the office. some of you would abuse it.

id also say Serious would make a good president but im not sold on his international studies knowledge base
same with SATIL.

Thanks man. I struggle with this because I only can judge this based on e-personalities. Just listening to the podcast alone people seem different. I would say someone like The Real but I don't know how he compromises.

I could probably put together a cabinet though if we made that thread.

Kool G chief of staff

:ohhh:

The roles of the Chief of Staff are both managerial and advisory and can include the following
Select key White House staff and supervise them
Structure the White House staff system
Control the flow of people into the Oval Office
Manage the flow of information
Protect the interests of the President
Negotiate with Congress, other members of the executive branch, and extragovernmental political groups to implement the President's agenda
Advise the President on various issues
It is possible that a powerful Chief of Staff with a "hands-off" president (who decides not to become involved in the minutiae of government), can become a de facto Prime Minister. Such prime ministers exist in some governmental systems: The prime minister runs the government (operations-wise), while the president remains somewhat aloof from the political process, but personally handling policy matters. Richard Nixon's first Chief of Staff, H.R. Haldeman, garnered a reputation in Washington for the iron hand he wielded in the position—famously referring to himself as "the President's son-of-a-bytch," he was a rigid gatekeeper who would frequently meet with administration officials in place of the President, then report himself to Nixon on the officials' talking points. Journalist Bob Woodward, in his books All the President's Men and The Secret Man, wrote that many of his sources, including the famous Deep Throat, displayed a genuine fear of Haldeman.[3][4]
By contrast, Andrew Card, President George W. Bush's first Chief of Staff, was not regarded as being as powerful. It has been speculated that this was due to Card being "overshadowed" by the influence of Karl Rove, the Senior Adviser and Deputy Chief of Staff who was "the architect" of Bush's political rise.[5]

I think its kind of interesting to see myself in this position. I wonder how I would be as a sort of HR rep for the executive branch. It is true that I'm good at analyzing people's strengths and weaknesses more than anything else though. Interesting.

It's called "leadership" and a leader knows that sometimes sacrifices and risks have to be taken.

not only would i do the exact same thing... i would make sure the name, bio, and voting record of every congressperson who voted against making progress on the cliff was published in every major newspaper in the country and in every news media outlet, especially the internet. and i would make it clear to the constituents how their elected officials are voting. and if the people agree with the political decisions being made by their representative then fine. but if they disagree, they know who to go see :smugbiden:

we the people MUST start holding politicians accountable for their actions... otherwise whats the point of the whole democratic process?!?

And you are also proving why you could never be President. If you took a position where you refused to negotiate one inch on anything and went over the cliff, you would be held as accountable as anyone else in the eyes of the public.

What's this stuff about you would make sure that all these congresspeoples' name and voting record would be in every newspaper and media outlet, lol. So now you want to be an authoritarian executive flexing power and control over private media? :russ: The power's already gone to your head and we're only in Fantasia right now, bruh.

Not to mention, whether justified or not, the perception of you doing that would be that you're a petulant, vindictive child and not a statesman. Your approval rating would do a nosedive, you'd lose political capital in your own party and it would stymy you from getting anything major you want done in the future.
