I'd wake and have tea/coffee with Joseph Stiglitz, Niall Ferguson, and Nouriel Roubini every morning. :smugbiden:

One of those guys don't belong there. But I get it, what better whipping boy to gang up on and insult than Niall. The posh Oxford English accent means you don't even feel bad about it.

Prediction:

Everyone nominated in this thread cosigns almost every Obama decision and thinks he's a brilliant strategist.

im not an obama apologist but in the last 2 elections, who would of been a better president under the circumstances?

I was just thinking that shyt too. Roubini and Stiglitz are :ohlawd:

But Ferguson? The face of Anglo colonial apologists? Nah, I'm good.

I probably wouldn't take much of any of his policy suggestions, but I'd still value his opinion and I'd have dudes like him around to keep it from being an echo chamber and just to be familiar with opposing views and how they're argued.

There are tons of better options than Niall if you want serious opposing analysis. Raghuram Rajan and even Mankiw come to mind. But Niall:whoa:

I think he got very lucky a few times in his electoral career (including iowa 08)

but he's a brilliant politician no doubt

Yes, the President is a brilliant and accomplished man. No denying that. He's a good orator and a pretty good politician. He's still morally bankrupt and liar.

I asked TUH what he would've done if he was President, and he said he would ask for no entitlement cuts, just tax hikes on the wealthy and military cuts, and he said he would go over the cliff if those demands were not met and tell the people what happened. Then I thought to myself, "That's why you could never be President."

It's called "leadership" and a leader knows that sometimes sacrifices and risks have to be taken.

im not an obama apologist but in the last 2 elections, who would of been a better president under the circumstances?

What exactly are you asking here? This seems like a loaded question.

I'm vaguely familiar with Mankiw...I know he was on Bush's team. I never heard of Rajan.

KevM3 as the most level-headed light-skin Christian in HL - although that isn't saying much.

The rest of you heathens have no chance.

:beli: have you seen him post about women? They would throw him in the garbage without a second chance :heh:
