goodfellas is damn near perfect until they hit the 80's and henry starts wildin out over that helicopter andhis overall sloppiness was :snoop:....if i had to rank em:

goodfellas (casino would get my vote if it was a choice)
scarface- overrated but quotables for days :whew:
blow- nice film, actually wrote a paper in criminology class covering the rise and fall of George Jung

The Chi (South Side)
I choose goodfellas. great mix of acting, the story :ohlawd:, the characters, and it's overall just PIFF.

scarface is very amusing, but it's also very over the top with the dumb accent that al pacino is using. that accent is borderline horrible. I never saw scarface until around the year 2000, and as soon as I heard him talk for the first time, I just KNEW he was :troll: the audience with that accent.

blow is a good movie as well, but I kinda hate seeing movies where the protagonist loses it all cuz of a stupid bytch. and that is what happened here as well.

Godfather 1 and 2, Goodfellas and the Sopranos have one of the best conversations about America there is in storytelling. The way the three react and respond to each other is amazing.

Between Goodfellas and Wolf of Wall Street, I think we can safely assume Scorcese has had his fair share of 3 day Friday nights

He was in Hollywood all through the 80s. That is more than a safe assumption.

Just as an aside, when Oliver Stone was writing Scarface, he went down to Miami to research the movie. He ended up hanging out with the drug dealers and getting hooked on Coke. When he finished writing, he had to go to Europe for a few months to detox.

Goodfellas is the best FILM of the 3 by far. I like it the most

Scarface appeals to my most base level self though.

Blow, because Mr Jung was not a rat. AKA the main "character" was a good deed and probably still is.

if Goodfellas starred someone better than Ray Liotta it may have been everyone's favorite movie of all time. it would be rated as high, if not higher than the Godfather. Be honest - and this is not in retrospect - Ray Liotta is the weak link of the movie, if there is one.
