jim thorpe was another of the GOAT that had a lot of diversity in his ability.

...Considered one of the most versatile athletes of modern sports, he won Olympic gold medals for the 1912 pentathlon and decathlon, played American football (collegiate and professional), and also played professional baseball and basketball...

Depending on his jumper, I'm pretty sure Randy Moss coulda played in the NBA. Hell, D Wade is 6'-4" with no J and he's a superstar. Moss definitely has/had the athleticism.

Moss played on the same HS team as Jason Williams and he was the star. :obama:

Impressive. But I can't put him above Bo or Deion because he did not compete against the best of the best. Deion did bat 300 one year too. Oh yeah, Dave Winfield was a beast in Baseball and Basketball

well, i believe these types of topics are always a matter of opinion - that's why i try to make sure and qualify my answer, such as saying so-and-so is 'one of the best,' or one of the greatest, etc.

you go ahead and objectively rank one all-time great over another all-time great especially in different eras and feel it's a matter of fact...

and i'll treat these things subjectively and know it's only a matter of opinion.

Well stated and I do not disagree. As a matter of fact, I am totally against arguing who is the GOAT in anything when that particular sport spans many eras/generations.

At the end of the day, all you can do is play/compete/perform in your respective generation and let the chips fall where they may.

With all that being said... Bo Jack>>>>>Thorpe

No Diss
