All this is near downtown and everything fun?

Looking at them airbnb monthly prices:ohhh:

naw not near downtown, but you can take the 10 and get there. I always stay right on the beach, and shoot around town from there. Santa monica beach is right by venice, you can go the 10 to labrea and head north to hollywood/sunset. When you there you have to go to the roscoes on pico and labrea just for being black (if you are).

edit: oh and hit third street if you stay where I suggested. Also travel around and hit the grove as well

Venice is about twenty minutes away from downtown, but is close to the beach and has the best atmosphere imo. It's a quirky area though, so if you're looking for a Hollywood vibe, you'd probably be disappointed.

Hell if Hollywood is 20 mins away, I could still always travel there from the beach.

Whats better, Venice or Santa Monica? Pros and cons?

Hollywood is like 45 minutes to an hour away from the beach if you're lucky. You're not factoring how bad traffic is....

Venice is probably cooler. Santa Monica is just touristy and family oriented.

More fun is to be found in Venice, but if you're trying to be fancy, Santa Monica is cleaner and more upscale. If you got the money, check out a restaurant in Santa Monica called BOA. Their steak is the best i ever had.

I remember last time I was at BOA, I was like two seats away from Rudy GOATbert

Yeah, West Hollywood has the absolutely grossest gay people you will ever have the displeasure of encountering lmaoooo. You gotta be pretty desensitized to feel comfortable there. It's pretty filthy, but if you can manage, you'll be pretty central to everything la has to offer.

yeah at 10pm at night. If he's a tourist, I doubt he's going be up at vampire hours trying see the city.

@Wise Venice to DTLA is usually about a 40-60 minute commute....
