If one is to rent an AirBNB and wants the full "LA experience", where should they stay?

Alot of neighborhoods so not sure which is which

Edit: Basically a neighborhood that is walking distance from a beach but also still a reasonable distance for everything LA is known for, bougie or not

All this is near downtown and everything fun?

Looking at them airbnb monthly prices:ohhh:

Venice is about twenty minutes away from downtown, but is close to the beach and has the best atmosphere imo. It's a quirky area though, so if you're looking for a Hollywood vibe, you'd probably be disappointed.
