I never met a man who was actually with a woman and abandoned his children, even after the parents broke up.

Getting pregnant from a one night stand, there was never a family to abandon. Men an women need to stop treating sex like they are some lowly animals that can only act on instinct.

Second, parent hood is the best! Girl (now 8) and Boy 4 going on 5
Never easy and my son keeps testing me. I guess as father and son fight in the jungle, so it shall be in the home. I am pretty sure my brother and I were probably worse.

My father growing up was present and kept all bills paid, food on the table, home everyday but was not the typical toss the ball in the yard, go fishing dad.
Don't know how different I would have turned out if he was but for us that was the norm

Remember, although not in all cases, but our kids are probably want to emulate what they saw in their households growing up so what you do now, the examples you set will resonate on after you are gone

A positive thread amidst all the nonsense and bullshyt... :salute:

One day I hope to know the joys of fatherhood :wow:

As far as my father, where do I begin?

-He took us from Nigeria to England to get us a better life... and left the country he loves.
-He took us from England to America in hopes of an even better life.
-He came here with almost nothing.
-Worked two jobs. Eckerds doing the day, and cleaning gas station toilets at night... despite having a masters degree.
-He sacrificed his pride so that we could live better.
-He gave up all of his habbits (smoking, chewing, riding motorcycles) because he didn't want any of -His sons to pick them up.
-He always preached the importance of education, and made sure all of us were always in our books.

Now that he has money, degrees, nice home, and everything he could ever want... I see the blue print he laid out and I thank him for that.

Honestly if I can be half the father he is, my kids will be alright :obama:

That picture:skip: I peep tthis with a few post none have had that typical father, but I guess that's what made them great, it wasn't typical but it worked and it's appreciated, thanks for posting fam keep raising the future so that we may all progress.
My pops is 62 and still not on any meds:blessed:

Moms just retired and he plans to do the same next year. I learned everything about being a man from him and I pass that knowledge down to my own son

A family unit really is the best situation to grow up in, my parents eventually spilt but the time they lived together it felt "right" something about going home and working into your spot to see both parents put a certain stability into your life:mjcry:
