It is but it isn't. If you know Miami then you know that downtown area used to be a piece of shyt. Brickell started trying to distance itself from it. Now that the million dollar condos are up people just think of it as one big area that they can't afford to live.

Miami has a tough economy for black professional men. Race relations are alright but Miami and South Florida overall are very segregated. A household income of $55k or better then you can live great. That's $27.5k between two adults and it is easier said than done. When I secure a teaching position and my friend sells his house, we're going to have a household (bachelor pad) that clears $100k so our outlook of South Florida will definitely change.

Pros:
Plenty of unmarried, professional women (all ethnicities)
Weather
Modest CoL (just got to live within your means)
Food choices
Diverse Nightlife (If you care about that type of thing)

Cons:
Nepotism in the job market
Money pit (There are a million ways to spend money needlessly)
Majority small and medium businesses (stagnant wages)
Public Transportation
Awful drivers
Public education isn't great (If you want to start a family better than Atlanta )
A strange culture that celebrates excess (breeds criminality among poor; brazen crimes and fraud)

Miami- Incredibly segregated. If you are any kind of black most of your people will live in the slums, and if you make it out you will be surrounded by racist Cubans/whites.

Las Vegas- I fukkING LOVED LIVING IN LAS VEGAS. It's very un American if that makes sense. People are very minded and most people don't really grow up their so it's easy to make new friends. The best part is the women. You will not be forced to deal with black women like in the south. White, Hispanic, and Asian women are all VERY OPEN to DATING(not just fukking) black men. The job market was a little sketchy last time I was their, but if I could move back I would in a heartbeat.

I can't live in Miami because English is a second or hell probably third language and Cubans run that city from a political point of view...

They got bad bytches tho and south beach, but there's way too much poverty


For Atlanta... I can't live there... if it was the 90s then hell yeah.... but every broke Tyrone and laquita from everywhere is moving there even if they don't have cash...

Plus I Live in the real Hollywood and I don't want to be around black fake Hollywood in Atlanta where every geechie have some type of business even if it's not in action

We didn't go over the details. It's preliminary but I'll be teaching somewhere in Broward and his company's office is in Doral so South Broward/North Dade (Downtown Hollywood, Miramar, Aventura, Pembroke Pines, Miami Gardens, Hallandale, etc.) and go Dutch on the rent and utilities. No more than $1000 between both of us should be doable.

Cost of living in Miami might be worse that new york city. Spanish people everything and everywhere, good thing or bad thing depending on how you feel. If you not bilingual it's 3 times harder to get a job. Traffic is terrible.

Pros, temperature never drops below 70, topless beach, exotic women,regular women, strippers, and porn stars always around. Good cheap Spanish food.

Cost of living in Miami downtown or south beach, you find something sensible in hallendale or out west (kendall).

The bilingual thing is the biggest issue and traffic isn't that terrible (then again i've always lived against traffic).
