I remember back in 2009 when 10 black women in north carolina was killed by a serial killer ( WHO EVENTUALLY GOT CAUGHT ) and since they was hookers the media never covered the story.

But at the same time they covered the release of Michael Vick from jail over dog fighting and they had people from congress from state representatives talking about he should be treated like them dogs was treated

a dog life>> black life to these fuks

there's a lot to consider, but the main thing is that the affected are black. this doesnt pull heart strings, even with black people. its not in the programming.

speaking of which news media is largely revenue-driven and certain things sell more than others.

its the same way that dozens of people overseas are killed daily and americans dont care.

at the end of the day, my heart goes out to anybody affected by events like this - boston, NO, newtown, and anywhere else. i dont let the news tell me how i should feel...and i dont let it upset me.

Most of the post in the bombing thread wasnt about worrying about white people it was trying to find out how did it and was it a cover up.

That's my point exactly. nikkas was crying foul when white folks was involve but when our own people get murked up you don't hear a peep from these fools. On top of That shyt barely getting any coverage and they ain't even caught the shooter yet.

Gotta understand how the media works, they didnt stop programming nationwide to let us know about this, Im just finding out about this myself. Plus its New Orleans and in the hood. what made u think anyone would give a fukk, when they let them people die during Katrina.

people are programmed to give a fukk about Boston,9/11,etc and act like its some sort of statistical anomaly

but when shyt like this,Oakland,Chicago happen they're programmed to act as if its commonplace,just "nuckas being nuckas"

notice how in Hurricane Katrina&Sandy you'll see coverage of "nuckas" looting and shyt,but you won't see coverage of the hood suffering&sinking cause they don't want people to have empathy for them

because no one (including black people) gives a fukk. I dont get why black people get mad about violence in the hood going unnoticed when we turn a blind eye to it ourselves. Most crimes can be prevented if we step up as a community and prevent it. The whole stop snitching shyt set us back more then you will ever know.
