My Coli brehs a few weeks ago, I made a thread about comment sections involving Black Americans online, I will up it

but Brehs, in many of our inner cities black on black crime is high so yes it was a tragic event, it's not news to "them"

homicides/shootings are daily in some of our black populated cities so to the news media, this is just something that fell off of that branch

now if it was a white shooter shooting black citizens at random than YES this would be NEWS, there is some type of sensationalism in the headline...something to cause a uproar......add to the string of random shootings that this country have been facing

but with this event...it kinds of fit along with the black on black crime that goes in daily in many of our lower income inner city areas

so we need to address that ANGLE 1ST, we need uprage every time a brother is layed down for something senseless

Some white folks believe it or not will ride with us when we are taking a legit stand at something that benefits us like black on black genocide

Black on Black crime victims are usually viewed as being involved or "deserving" of it by cacs. U can see this in the fact that they usually blame the victims for being harmed.

Also the ratchetness of hip hop doesn't help. Its sad that black people get stereotyped hard but it happens and the media we put out there of ourselves is almost all negative. Celebrating violence excessively creates the illusion that we are immune to it.

It's half and half. Its definitely a racial aspect to it but, its also human nature. People just dont give a shyt. We become desensitized to things pretty quickly. I know I do it and I'm black. People over in Afghanistan, Pakistan, the Middle East......they die everyday. 20, 30, 100 people merked out in different areas everyday. Do I care? Does that shyt even register in my mind on the day to day? "Oh, look here's a major news story about the civil unrest in Egypt, Libya and Iraq....we should do something "......Next day, Im watching Iron Man on IMAX

The height of the crack era and the rise in crime brought a ton of attention to it.

White folks just don't care anymore and I can't say I blame them.

They've seen your Boyz in the Hood, Juice, New Jack City and other drug, drive by crack dealing movies and they've listened to all the harcore Rap NWA, Ghetto Boys etc music about how 'hard' it is for black folks.

They cared enough to increase welfare, pell grants, and reduced draconian drug laws and shyt still aint really change.
