The groups mentioned migrated first through South Asia(and Southeast Asia) before settling the Pacific Islands during the Out of Africa migration. Austronesians(think I said it right) and Melanesian type groups are the oldest population in India. I think I read that there are genetic similarities between INDIGENOUS Southeast Asian populations and those in the Pacific.
If they represent one of the oldest groups out of Africa would that make them related in any way to early European hunter and gathers or are they a separate group?

No they're not related. That Cheddor man is more related to modern Europeans.
I was watching a lecture and the guy said Modern Europeans are a mixture of Early hunter gathers, Neolithic farmers and Steppe? farmers.

They were looking for some missing link last time I checked. I don’t know though.

From the south mostly. They're a small minority.

In India we call them Tribals, because for the most part they live a culture that is fairly different to the rest of Indian civilization and that developed outside the historical growth of that civilization. They're not called indigenous because almost all Indians are indigenous anyway.

You shouldn't confuse regular dark skinned Indians with Tribals. Tribals are not only dark skinned but visually they resemble Australian Aboriginals, and that's the difference in terms of physical characteristics.
