I'm not a Stan of either player so I'm able to see things from an unbiased viewpoint.

I don't understand LeBron being a better overall player considering Jordan cane closer to averaging a triple double than LeBron as well as winning scoring tittle and defensive player of the year in the same season amongst other things.

Jordan did this without trying to as well. By that I mean he didn't stay in the game trying to pad his stats

To answer the OP's question its from a few things
the idea that Jordan was just a scorer and not a playmaker
the generation that didn't watch Jordan but watched Kobe and envisioned him as basically Jordan lite and so kind of assume Jordan played like Kobe but slightly better
The fact that LeBron is more of a passer/distributer than any of the other guys in the greatest/top 10 convo other than Magic
The fact that we don't really know how to compare the two because they were in different eras and the styles of play are very different in those eras AND the two players were very different. Jordan was a pure 2 guard in an era where positions were more defined. LeBron has been listed as a 3/forward for years but plays functionally like a PG but also shoots with the frequency of an old school 2/pure scorer

Anyone who comes into a conversation saying, "I'm able to see things from an unbiased viewpoint" is exposing their ass from the start. :dead:

I mean, if you don't know that LeBron is a better passer and rebounder than MJ, not really sure what the point is of the conversation.

MJ was a much better midrange shooter, LBJ is a better three-point shooter, they were both extremely effective at the rim. Overall MJ was a more aggressive scorer and at least in his own era was more effective.

Defense can obviously be debated, they both have their strengths. MJ was more consistently a bulldog man defender, LBJ could defend more positions and was a better rim protector, they both were great in the passing lanes.

I don't think it's cut-and-dried either way.

Uh, you do know that Scottie said MJ cared so much about his stats that he would have a certain goal to reach each quarter, so that he would be sure to get his points up by the end of the game? He was literally thinking about his stats the entire game.

Tell me what Lebron did/does better than prime healthy Penny Hardaway.

Literally everything. Bron does everything Penny did, at a higher level.

I love Penny and all but LeBron convos bring the stupid out.

Outside of scoring, defense, rebounding, passing, shooting, driving, and team leadership, Penny was easily as good or better than Bron in every respect.

When it comes to passing alone MJ gotta give it up. Rebounding as well. Ain’t no shame in that MJ was elite in those areas as well...but Bron is 3 inches taller and like 60 pounds heavier. He can do shyt physically that MJ can never do
