So wait, an MVP is more valuable than a ring huh?

So let me ask this, what does it mean when you win the MVP and are favored to win an NBA title and don't get it done? Not even hating, I'm just trying to follow this logic.

If you're the league MVP AND your team is the favorite for the title, shouldn't you win it?
Depends on how you got the ring. I would take Kobe's 2008 MVP over Wade's 2012 ring.

Kobe's 2008 MVP over Kobe 2000's ring.

Kobe's 2009 ring over Kobe's 2000 ring.

You saying that like the dude with 5 rings hasn't been consistently disrespected his whole damn career.

Remember according to some Kobe would be nothing but an average 2 guard without Shaq.

my attitude: :beli:

I'mma laugh when these kids start saying he's better than Mike.

Stanning aside, how can anyone logically put Lebron in the top 10? I got him top 15, closer to ten than 15, but top 15 no less.

And I ask again, if you're putting so much stock into him winning the MVP, how do you explain him not winning titles in those years where he was the MVP and favored to win the title?

It's like you're rewarding him for the years he was the "best player" on the best team, but didn't win it. Shouldn't that make winning the ring that much more important and not less?

only year his team was favored to win the title, and they didnt win it, was last season. none of those cavs teams were favorites. lakers were more heavily favored in 2004 to win, and came up short in abysmal fashion. shyt happens sometimes.

He's gonna need a few more rings but when he does, it's going to be funny watching Kobe stans trying to deny that he's in the process of surpassing him.

Surpassing him ring wise? NO Statwise? Maybe. Lebron isnt going to win 5 rings. Not with the Heat at least. He'd have to do the same thing every couple of years and align with stars to keep winning. Wade is not going to be the same Wade next year and that alone is huge. Lets not also forget the East is rumbling. You got alot of hungrier teams now that the Heat won. More teams are going to go in their like its their personal finals. The only reason Kobe even was apart of a threepeat was because he was apart of a perfect team with the Showtime 2 Lakers. The Heat are still heavily beatable so I dont see Lebron getting anymore rings with this current roster.

I don't think too much stock can be put in the MVP awards simply because Steve Nash is currently walking around with two of them while Shaq and Kobe got one a piece.

Bron definitely deserved his MVP awards though..

b.....stop tryna to find logic with 90s babies.

if Bron wins 1, he's better than Kobe & top 10.
if Bron wins 2, he's better than Magic, Bird & Kareem.
if Bron wins 3, he's better than Jordan.

Kobe stans waited til Kobe won 5 to talk this stupid.

I think as a player he is easily in the top 10. In terms of career he is top 14.

All-time 14ish.
