i don't have a definitive list, don't really care to create one either.

did i love it? yes (except season 8)
was it good objectively? yes
did it carve out an undeniable place in the history of tv shows? yes 1) probably the biggest fantasy show - i know star trek has a vocal fan base, but i don't think it spans the lines that GOT crossed 2) early seasons were lit on multi character storytelling and development 3) production value 4) cultural impact
would i rewatch? yes (except season 8)
would i tell someone to watch it who had never seen it? yes

all of that says it's a top whatever # to me :yeshrug:

I aint seen Mad Men mentioned once in here :dahell:
I pretty much had GoT slotted into my #4 spot by the end of season 4 . My top three is 1. The Wire 2. The Sopranos 3. Mad Men and GoT was the only show I could possibly see breaking into that top 3. Needless to say that ain't happening:comeon:

With that said, I don't really feel compelled to move GoT out of the 4 spot. I tend to judge shows ( anything for that matter) as a whole as opposed to placing the utmost importance on the end. No other show ever has matched the epicness, scale, and scope of GoT. It achieved a lot. It just messed up the ending and we're less than a week removed from that ending so we're operating off emotion as much as we are off objective critique. I probably will never like certain aspects of this season (Dany's "arc" in particular) but as a whole, the show deserves to be in the conversation with everything outside of my personal top 3. Maybe Boardwalk Empire, The Shield, Deadwood, might get the nod at 4 instead:manny:. Outside of that cemented top 3, I'm not that pressed to figure where things rank:hubie:

It's easily top 5. In a few years the same clowns will also have it in their top 5 because they will be saying "why can't other shows do scenes like Game of thrones did :sadbron: "

The teardown is funny but the comeback will be even funnier. That said, I got The Wire and Breaking Bad over it for sure.

at its very peak it was top 10, but after the final seasons. i don't know.

definitely outside of the top 10 though.

shyt was never top 5 all time for me though.

i don't think there was ever a point it was the best show on television.

maybe for a brief moment in 2014 after breaking bad ended, but mr. robot been had the crown for me since 2015.

edit: actually after breaking bad ended the americans was still at its peak too, so nah. it was never the best show on TV.

have you ever watched mr robot?

it's never had a bad season, game of thrones had at least two bad seasons.

i would rank breaking bad and narcos over GOT too, easily.

I have, I love it. But in my opinion it’s not fukkin with GOT, honestly speaking its not even better than some of the shows I didn’t even mention like house of cards, Rome or even OZ.

i think house of cards is complete trash after season 1 so i guess we just got different tastes then :yeshrug:

GOT at its peak in my top 10, but they botched most of the last two seasons for me so it pulls it out the running.
