No. It felt to me that Carlito was a toned down template of Razor Ramon. That persona would have a limited shelf life as Scott Hall created that persona.

If he had a crew and was able to do a storyline like have Cena's number...that could of been built up to get a good payback for Cena instead of them fukking it up and getting the payback like 6 weeks later in their typical gay fashion. They had Benoit own Cripple H alot..I think he even had a Iron man's match win over him on Raw. But then they have Cripple H eventually beat him like in 06 or something before a Cena match..or a Batista match. One of them. But the story was there..Benoit was credible.

They bought him back as the chiseled vet now and I still have no interest in him. Get a time machine and put Montez with the gimmick and Montez would have took it to top level.

But I never said he was a bum, I pretty much agreed with you that he could have made it to Dolph Ziggler tier of the midcard. He never showed anything to be world championship worthy though.

Still wrong either way if you manage to build that time machine and place Montez in that gimmick, in 2006 super slender Montez is in that 7 man Cruiserweight title match getting pinned by Gregory Helmsyou would’ve been better off saying Dawkins would be better using that gimmick
