Shaq was the man for 14 of the wins, Kobe was only the man for 10.

And 8 of those 10 were 50-54 win teams. The two "best" teams that Kobe ever beat as the man were the 56-win Spurs (with Ginobli hurt) and the 59-win Magic.

The smartest thing Bron ever did was create super teams to win as he put himself into conversations that he doesn’t truly belong in. He didn’t stay with one team and turn it into a finals contender (Jordan) and he didn’t stay with one team during the lean years until it was rebuilt (Kobe). Every few years he just sits down with his handlers and strategizes on which team can get him the most rings. And for some reason after Bron gets all these good ass players on his team people try to pretend as if they’re not as good as they are like Love and Kyrie aren’t number one options, like Bosh and Wade aren’t number one options. Pippen was not a number one option. Odom, Bynum and Gasol weren’t number one options. Even if you wanna bring up Shaq, it wasn’t like the Lakers made a conscious decision to have Shaq and Kobe. Kobe was a 18 yo rookie who ended up becoming that good. He wasn’t a superstar who decided to come join Shaq. If Jordan had Kyrie as a teammate, boy, he’d be showing his ass out there. Ditto for Kobe. It’s crazy how winning changes perceptions so much even if you stacked the deck to do it.
you're making too much sense right now:damn:

Nobody finals comp compares to magic. Magic the true goat
:dahell:

The guy who joined up with the reigning MVP and still got swept twice, nearly swept a third time, plus had the "Tragic Johnson" series?

Kobe was out here beating teams with 4 all stars in the finals :sas2:

No he did not. :heh:

Kobe who never won a single Finals without his teammate outplaying the best player on the other team. :pachaha:

Lebron was never given adequate help in Cleveland 2 win a title. He needed 2 leave honestly. The bulls jad ypung talent around jordan and they were ascending and Phil took them over the top. Kobe came in with the 2nd best player in the league in 97 in shaq and they got Phil and ascended

LeBron left and gave up though. Jordan lost to the Pistons three years in a row before he beat them. And before that he lost two years in a row to Boston. So that’s a lot of losing and a lot of upsets before Jordan got through to the Finals. He never left. Keep in mind LeBron made the Finals in 2007 so he got to the Championship a lot sooner than Jordan did. This idea that Cleveland was so garbage isn’t true. He gave up after three losing seasons (08, 09, 10) instead of saying what can we do to get over the hump :manny: He coulda signed a two year deal with Cleveland much like he started doing later to get leverage and said get me help or I’m out :manny: That’s what Kobe did and he got Gasol. LeBron only needed a solid number two player like a Klay Thompson or a Jimmy Butler. He didn’t need multiple number one guys and super teams. He stacked the deck to win and he led us down the path to super teams (originally started by Boston, perfected in Miami and overdone with Golden State).

They aren't. And we have yet to a playoff performance without Bron for the other "number one option".
If thats the case post all their Finals records
We know their Finals records. We also know the different levels of competition each player faced in the Finals. If we make it about the playoffs altogether like the poster I quoted asked, you'll see that when facing better teams all 3 of these players have failed equally.

How is that not outdated by much when LeBron is up to 17 now? :dahell:

Kobe only has 10 wins against 50-win teams as the man. :mjlol:

Even worse, LeBron has 10 wins against 55-win teams as the man, Kobe has 2. :francis:

LeBron has 3 wins against 60-win teams as the man, Kobe has 0. :gucci:

LeBron has a win against a 73-win team as the man, Kobe has.... :blessed:

17 to 10
10 to 2
3 to 0
1 to nothing

Kobe lawst
5-3 or 3-6

Hmm

Yeah the same guy who won finals mvp as a rookie, playing all positions while said mvp was hurt. The same guy who made 9 finals in 13 seasons. It’s a fact that Jordan, Kobe or Bronx finals opponents don’t even compare to who magic had to face.

Any potential all time great should give up with an organization that can’t produce. He gave them 7 years, insanity.
