TYRONE GA!
Nobody knows what's gonna happen until it happens but there will be radical consequences for this country not making it achievable for the average household to afford the average home. I just don't know in what form those consequences will be yet.
If it gets dumb I’ll be in Africa with @MikelArteta

I don't think the average person realizes what's going on.

What's happening is these finance/mortgage companies are buying homes out for straight cash. 80000 wired direct to your bank account in 30 days. They get these senior citizens with medical bills, take the house put 20000 worth of work into it, then rent out each room including basement area for 1500 a month, or sell it outright for 300k. The average person looking for a mortgage doesn't stand a chance and it won't change unless laws are changed.

I bought my house cause I played this game. Spent over 10 years living in the projects driving older cars I owned while saving cash so I could buy outright. On my street, I'm surrounded by renters. Both houses next to me, and the three houses directly across the street. A fourth is up for sale. All of the homes were sold by grandparents for cash under 100k. They were single family homes. They now house three to four families apiece, each family living in a room designed for a child but bigger than a hotel room. This is a nationwide problem, and it took a conflict for me to explain reality to these idiots, u do not own that house you rent here. This is not your neighborhood, it belongs to the property owners.

It's ok, don't listen to me. In 20 years almost everyone in America is either gonna be paying 2k+ for rent, or u gonna have roommates. The corporations will be the property owners.

Thats bad for business though. If people move in with each other, it's going to leave a lot of unoccupied space.

Lot of ppl have super low interest rates now and are in no urgency to move off them for a new place. That will lead to less inventory and higher prices. When they do come down (rates) home prices will again go back up as that gives folks more buying power.

Bad for who?

If I got empty spaces in my apartment units I just raise your rent. Don't like it, you can move into one my houses, owned by the same investment group.

I was looking at a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house in Rockville MD. The owner bought it 1998 for 55k. That shyt cost 450k now and the cheapest mortgage payment was $3,200 a month.:why: It’s impossible for a single person to buy a house in a good area unless you’re making over 150k.

Or start getting married again. I can’t for the life of me understand the GMB mentality, the I can’t afford to be married excuses, or on the women’s side, I’m not going 50-50. People rather pay a whole rent/mortgage on their own, or not be able to afford to own, rather than find someone to partner and build with

The GMB mentality is wildly disturbing and disruptive.

There have been threads about people preaching NOT 2 be homeowners on here. Us who were trying to give game were called haters it was some bizzaro ass shyt.

I swear brehs gonna be trapped in the boonies with no opportunities in the next decade if they don't wake TF up.

Look into buying land and building. There are some afford options out there.
Yep. People may have to move a bit further out because another reason land and house prices are so high is because everyone wants to live in the same places. I understand that a lot of the reasoning is because jobs are typically concentrated in the same areas but those who can move further out or change locations should do so.

People are also buying small plots of land and buying ready made houses. Tesla, Amazon, Home Depot and many others are making affordable homes that are shipped and unboxed. Society evolves…

"Black" message board my ass

IDGAF if CACS pass their homes on to their failsons, I care about my ability to do the SAME and my ability to be able to do the same
Would you care as much if houses were at the level they were relative to income/wealth levels in the 70's? I only care right now because the way things are currently set up I believe it would be very hard for my kids to get their own spot in our city regardless of what their future income levels will be. I think it truly will be 100% based on what you inherit in 30 years, but if there was reform here where the average person can afford the average house and be comfortable I wouldn't.

I do remember those arguments where bruhs were trying to say you shouldn't invest in a house because there were better returns to be made in the stock market. All these dudes were from like New York so I just wrote it off as cope :lolbron:

I swear breh....I changed my rep to "Old York" since I got TF out the second I could. I don't believe 85% of the "NY" posters are actually from here. There is no fukking way.
