the truth about Drake and rap fans in general is that you nikkas are followers and that don't have independent thought.

Like how everyone dissing absoul nowadays. But I bet if I go back to some early 2012 posts ya were sucking dikk. Ya diss now cause it's more acceptable, when in reality ab soul was always a boring ass mush mouthy fake deep rapper.

But if you were to speak the truth back then on him or TDE in general ya would of gotten "neg'd" or "unliked" or whatever ya p*ssy nikkas be doing on here

Same concept with Drake

When Meek dropped the truth bomb last year the way everyone acting now is the way ya should of been acting then.

But since the status quo was to still ride with drake cause all the white people, corps n publications were on defense mode dropping fluff pieces left and right to try n change the narrative to make it seem cool n acceptable to be a fraud ya were to busy sipping on the kool aid

But just like how ya were calling chief Keef n future trash back then but riding waves n calling em icons now n how ya were pretending to like boring rappers like Jay Rock Freddie Gibbs n Talib Kweli in 2012 but revealing your true feeling in 2016

the truth will always shine thru in the long run.

N I say this as a unbiased 3rd party. I haven't even listened to DC4 besides like 3 songs.

that shyt prolly trash anyway

Undoubtedly. What would have disqualified him if not for the ghostwriting shyt? Nothing.

It's not like he's ever made terrible albums either. All his albums pre-views are all high7-low8 type of albums.

Also, I don't think the views we got would have been the original one if that didn't happen. I think we would have gotten a more IYRTITL type of a vibe/sound. More rap.

At the end if the day it doesn't really matter. They're both doing fairly well

This guy gets it

He's a legend just not a hip hop one. He'll have his seat at a special table.

Not
With Nas or Hov or PAC big etc, but still a pretty exclusive class

Yup.

Whatever MC bone he has left in him (or whatever he came in with) is gonna see that as a pet peeve or a failure depending how extreme he takes it lol

Who knows. What's done is done. I do think he wanted that seat tho. No ones run lasts forever. When it's all said and done everyone wants to go to the Hall Of Fame, right?

Its a reason he has been chasin Hov's position from the start.

Even though he came in as the new improved Fresh Prince/Will Smith, he didnt wanna remain that. He wanted to be the new Jay.

And Meek does as well. Meek more than anyone in the new era wants to fill Jay's spot. The mainstream street rapper. And whether u hate him or not his background mirrors Hov's ALOT more than Drake's.

Cant tell me that shyt didnt hurt son pride with everyone crowning Drake as the new Hov...especially when he found out he dont even do the rapping. Its one thing if your image dont match up...but fukk if u not even writing it? And they comparing you to a nikka who never needed to write cuz he was THAT damn nice? shyt is insulting lol

Drake wasn't set for the Elite, because over time he made more and more pop music and singing, and his fanbase got younger and younger. A Mount Rushmore rapper wouldn't be making a slew of hotline bling type singing tracks. Top 5 was never going to be his legacy. Meek just confirmed that he was an rnpop star not a rapper :manny:, but 10 year olds don't care about ghostwriting.

I applaud Meek for doing what he did. That side of hip hop had to be exposed. now artists need to try again instead of being lazy.

If drakes next tour is bigger than this one. Id say it didn't do shyt other than hurt his legacy among all time hip hop lists.

I'm only saying this because I think drake selling out everywhere because of the 6 or 7 years he was in the mainstream having a snowball effect. Results of the machine.. If his next run is bigger than this then I d day it didn't do no damage.

Been going on since the first mass marketed hip-hop single Rapper's Delight...

Nikkas in the industry know what it is, legends know what it is...

That's why old heads like KRS ain't even mad in the interviews.

Drake was not cracking that class even if he wrote every single word. To me those guys are set in stone for a long time.

"Rapper's Delight" wasn't ghost written, it was stolen. To confuse the two is ignorant at best....at worst it's disingenuous.

KRS said there's no problem with ghostwriting if you don't hide it. Drake hid it. So what are you talking about?

So much damage, he only had the biggest numbers, streaming and albums this year

Coli logic fail

The "sales" of "Views" were driven by streaming 2-3 songs which aren't even rap. The biggest song off the album was "Hotline Bling". The second biggest was "One Dance".

This is a far cry from the guy whose fans claimed he was the next Jay-Z just a year ago.

Meek destroyed a generation of collaborations and good music. He divided the game in many ways what he did hurt hip-hop more than it helped...
receipts? :camby: out of here with that guilt trip :trash:

if anything, this is going to encourage even MORE "collaboration" (:francis:) after artists seen how the general public reacted to the exposal. most people didn't give a fukk.

stop apologizing for aubrey because he got caught red handed not crediting his ghostwriters

The props was definitley important for Drake.

Remember how salty he got whwn Kendrick was getting all the accolades and respect, tried to make it like he was that upset about the Control verse, when we all knew what the jealousy was about:pachaha:

Drake stans dont really care about hiphop,so they could care less how hiphop fans view Drake....but Drake cares:mjcry:

To see him forced to still go at Meek because he's mad his whole charade has been exposed,to see him forced to damn near fully go pop,and all those bars hyping himself up as an emcee meaning nothing now:wow:?

Just knowing this phony is living in his own hell now is enough for me:banderas:....all that shyt he was talking about Kendrick,he will never be able to catch Kendrick now.

Plus Meek fukking a hiphop queen who publically friendzoned Drake on a regular basis:salute:
