So who was the 2nd superstar on the '11 Mavs?

Wasn't Chandler 2012 Defensive Player of the year? I know what you're gonna say, but IMO he should have won it in 2011 as well, and he was obviously the reason why Dallas was so formidable on defense. They're not even remotely the same team without Chandler.

Yeah, basically this. I don't get the whole logic about it being ok if the owners do it but not the player. You had players from all over bashing him, the legends, sh*t even MLB and NFL players were talkin' sh*t. Props to Lebron for givin' the system the middle finger :myman:

The funny part is the main ones saying "I didn't want to join Michael Jordan, I wanted to beat him" never came close...

When I hear Reggie Miller talk about the past like him and Jordan were rivals I just shake my head... He would have been the 4th best player on that '96 Bulls squad...

Then Barkley downplaying Kevin Johnson and Majerle's game (two All Stars) to boost his argument about joining the Suns..

The heat were the only true "superteam" to win in recent memory...:heh: The Mavs resembled the Dream led Rockets (superstar surrounded by quality role players) or truth be told the Bron led Cavs (biggest difference, Dirk was super clutch during their '11 playoff run as opposed to whatever the fukk it was Bron did in '10...that Cavs team could have easily won a title and their reimaging as bron and "complete bums" is b.s.) more than any "superteam"....the Kobe/Pau lakers were a traditional 1 superstar, all star sidekick and decent enough role players modeled champship winning team (recasting a young and perpetually hurt Bynum and Lamar Odom as "superstars" is :pachaha:...even Pau is a reach but that's a different story)...I wouldn't even consider the '08 Celtics a superteam as the big 3 was mostly past their prime and Rondo was a rookie...last champ I would seriously consider a "superteam" is maybe the 3peat Lakers...had two top 5 players in Prime Shaq and young Kobe, but outside of them that team was nothing special...maybe the 70plus winning Bulls or definitely the Lakers/Celtics from the 80s

The Lakers team of the past few years was never a superteam. Superteam is when you pair a bunch of alpha type niccas on one team.

Lakers only had 1 alpha personality and that's Kobe.

Miami has Lebron and Wade.

Mavs had no true alpha players.

So your perception of Superteam is wrong.

Mavs and tbh I don't even consider the 2007 spurs as a superteam either

2012
Lebron, Wade, Bosh

2011
Kidd, Dirk, Tyson, Marion, Terry
-You can say what you want, but that was a tough azz roster

2010
-Kobe, Pau, Artest, Odom, Bynum

2009
-Kobe, Pau, Artest, Odom, Bynum

2008
-Ray Allen, Pierce, Garnett, Rondo

2007
-Duncan, Ginobili, Parker, Barry

Looking at the past 5 years, I don't understand how anybody could fault Lebron for realizing the obvious, you're not going to win in today's league without at least one, if not two superstars on your team (some have had 4 ).
:what:

The only superteams on that list are the Heat and Celtics. Rondo was a scrub back in 2008.

IMHO, just because a player doesn't get recognized yet for his achievements, doesn't mean he's not deserving. That's why I mentioned Tyson Chandler, he didn't get DMVP until '12, but he was defensively dominant in '11 as well, he just didn't get the votes :manny: Rondo was never a scrub.
