I will say our community was doing well in the 70’s and 80s because of industry jobs paying a living wage. That stopped with technology and the increase of foreign labor.

Post reconstruction could have been fantastic for black folks, and they were putting foot to ass in almost ever sector from agriculture, to business, to politics, but NOPE...Cacs couldn't handle it, and mobbed up from sea to shining sea, burning down any and everything black folks had a hand in.

Sadly it never was. The "greatness" they refer to is immediately after WWII. When America had the benefit of the rest of the world rebuilding after the war. A small pocket of time. And even then, that time period wasn't great for blacks.
