When Vince GOATsso was writing for TNA it was drawing more viewers than Smackdown (and now WWF RAW)

So lettuce get this straight, GOATsso never deserves any of the credit? When he was at RAW it was BEATING Monday night football :wow: look at how the ratings have gone since :jbhmm:

When he was at TNA they were drawing over 2 million and were at their ratings peak. When he left all the washed ex WWE stars were still there as well as your homegrown TNA indie trash and the ratings still tanked after his departure :jbhmm:

Funny how that works :jbhmm:

Men lie women lie numbers don't
No, not a lick of credit, he's no star, he's not Stone Cold, he's not the Rock, I don't care how much input he had on their gimmicks but he's not the reason anyone got over or the reason Raw drew anything

Not to say he didn't help or have any input but he deserves no credit

Impact had 1 episode back in 2010 or 2011 that did a 2.2 against Raw (RVD winning the title, and I think Brian Knobbs and Val Venis coming in) , and never sniffed that again. They're basically under 1.0 for they're entire existence. Toss this thread in the bushes.

Ratings. Victory. Draw.

I just realized how dumb this thread was. An Impact episode from 7 years ago touted as "The Start Of The New Monday Night Wars" is being compared to a random SD episode 7 years later. You may as well compare an Attitude Era Raw to a 2010 Raw featuring Jack Swagger vs Undertaker. Can't be surprised at this goofy thread when OP has admitted he doesn't watch neither Smackdown nor Impact.

That was their biggest episode ever though :dahell:

here is their true average peak

"According to TNAsylum, TNA had its biggest ratings year in company history during 2011 TNA averaged a 1.17 (rounded up to a 1.20) cable rating in 2011, outshining its previous high of 1.15 in 2009. The previous year in 2010, TNA averaged a 1.11 rating on Thursday nights."

People just dont wanna give him credit cause dirtsheet writers dont like him and marks feed off Meltz. The fact that Meltzer hated on the Attitude era when it was destroying all the rating numbers show what a fukking loser he is.

At worst Russo at least gave you storylines for everyone that go beyond "i want the belt!"

Even if the story was ass it was more entertaining than no story. The guy tried his best.

Its not even the gimmicks. The work he did goes beyond that. The reason why you couldnt flip the channel to other stations was cause they would tell a story throughout the episode, always show some shyt going on backstage right before a commercial break or something to hook you. And when the show was over they gave you a reason to look forward to the next episode. It was like an actual TV series. JUst a basic example is the episode with Vince at the hospital. Constantly throughout the show they would cut to those pre tapes of Vince at the hospital, and they kept teasing Austin showing up. Finally near the end of the show Austin beats his ass in the hospital. This isnt just Austin and Vince being great, its Austin and Vince being put into a situation to utilize their greatness.

Hes the reason why mid card and low card guys are getting hall of fame inductions. Think of guys like D Lo Brown, Val Venis types. He involved all these guys. 20 years later these guys are not forgotten.

Its night and day from how it is now. Its not as simple as the guys now are wack, their wackness is aided by 0 creative. You dont miss anything by changing the channel, you dont miss anything by not watching at all. And thats whats happening, nobody is watching. Who knows if guy X could have been a star? Maybe they had the potential? We wont know cause aint shyt happening except wrestling matches between random guys and stale promos about wanting to get belts. No story whatsoever, its just an infomercial for PPV's like it was pre Russo in the mid 90s 'new generation' era.

Except there was a TEAM of writers and one guy at the very top in Vince McMahon who changed all the storylines to his liking and gave the final yes or no

Well the one common denominator is Vince McMahon. And shyt is wack now. 2 plus 2 breh. Even before Russo shyt was lame in terms of weekly content. PPVs were cool but Raw sucked. Russo came through and changed the game.
