“You keep listening to those footsteps baby, that’s me coming to bring you home.” :to:

Not really funny, but when Raymond said “imma go put this in my room” after his pops just told him about his girl’s relatives being in the crib I was like

Just finished the last episode. Man Korey went through it(they all did) but, he really went through it and still fought. Love the part where he was like if they don’t wanna hear the truth then he ain’t wasting his energy.

Much much salute to those brothers :salute:

Finally watched it. It was tough but everyone black person needs to see it. I got too many friends who are scared or saying it will be too traumatizing. fukk all that, watch it and use the emotions to wake up and get focused.

It was sad how unprepared and helpless most of the parents were. Also, Ray’s dad was hard for me to like. He was supportive with the phone calls but he wasn’t man enough to lay the law down with his new wife. Smh.

This is one thing I’m still confused about. Obviously there’s the racist angle but now I’m prompted to do research on the case because they had to have something on the brehs for them to not only lose but have people think they did it.

Also, after reading both sides on this case I’m convinced that this won’t change white people’s minds in the least bit. At least those brothers are free now.

still ain't made it past first episode. :to:

I'll finish it though.

Wow a very difficult watch but it's a must expecially for young men, I plan to show my children this one day-God willin. Kory is a special person for surviving all he went through.

My biggest takeaway from this series is the need for our people to stand firm and fight the system-10 toes down. We can't use the excuse that we're poor and can't miss a paycheck. The system doesn't play fair - that's a given, we must understand our enemy and educate ourselves so we can fight back.

My only dislike is more of a Netflix critique, it seems like netflix likes to milk its series and documentaries. This should have been 3 episodes at most.

When They See Us is a 10 out of 10 and a mandatory viewing
