A breh in the TLOU2 thread said that he stood up and clapped.

:mjlol:
I'm gonna have to bite down and finish this game. It was so long I just became disinterested in it. I didn't feel any connection with Abby or any sympathy for her so forcing that on me killed my drive to complete the game. I believe I was half way through her part.

final fantasy 10
Greatest ending in video game history.
The closing line and credit drop are unmatched.

"The people and friends we have lost and the dreams that have faded never forget them."

Never played the sequel. Never will. That ending was so perfect I don't acknowledge any sequel.

The Last of Us 2 should have never existed. The ending to the first one was perfect. The second one does a full on assault to Ellie's character and uses Joel to prop up some retconned jobber nobody liked that didn't even exist in the original game.

I mean it was a very well made game but at the same time it's wasn't really appreciated by a lot of people.

That game is the poster child for development hell. It's shaping up to be a train wreck. Most games don't go through 2 project leads and 2-3 restarts and come out a good product on the other end.

Persona 5's ending really felt like you were permanently saying goodbye to some really close friends. :mjcry:

P5S tugged the heartstrings a bit with it's intro, I still haven't gotten around to beating that

I felt more that way with P4G's ending than P5's. Tho P5R made it feel almost as significant comparably. I still wouldn't say that I felt empty after beating either of them tho, nor detached from other games/gaming as a whole. If anything, the opposite feeling. I felt happy with their ending, albeit a tad bittersweet since it was over and there were some feels involved with the story and character conclusions. I also felt satisfied, fulfilled, accomplished and ultimately relieved to have finally finished these long ass games and compelled to play other exciting and different games.

Bruh the first games to come to mind when I saw the title was the Persona series. You spend over 100 hours invested into the lives of these characters, knowing it has to end eventually.

The other game? Trails of Cold Steel 4. This breh Rean been through some ish! I picked up the series on a whim in late 2019. On the verge of breaking up with my ex and moving into a new spot. Many nights just playing to keep my mind off of the current drama, other nights because I was really interested in where this story was going to go, knowing that the sequels where already done. By the time I finished 4, I had a new crib, woman and career. Parallel growth bro. Protagonist ish. Great series and Rean is top 5 for RPG heroes.
