Hip hop is dead :yeshrug:

Kendrick and Drake damn near 40 and there's nobody on deck with any cultural foothold to speak of. It's already a wrap for the generation that followed them. I mean dudes like Gunna will put up streaming numbers but is there anything about they music that's actually worth discussing?

Someone like JID could drop a dope project but the thread on here will die at about 300 replies.

There's nothing else in Hip Hop going on in current day to talk about :manny:

When it comes to Male rappers popping on an national level it's only Kendrick, Drake, Cole, Rod Wave, Future, Gunna, Tyler and maybe Lil Baby...?

Outside of them Hip Hop seems to be regional AF with a bunch of drill rappers popping in their city, but not nationwide.

It's why 50 Cent threads regularly get made even though he hasn't dropped an GOOD album since 2005 and his last actual album released was in 2013.

I don't think Kendrick/Drake is trash but I do enjoy Jay & Nas music far more than I enjoy Kendrick & Drake music.

Dababy had the most crossover appeal out of New rappers cuz you can actually understand him and he's funny but he fumbled the ball. Polo G could be a star too if he stopped rapping 20 dollars beats.Rap doesn't crossover anymore ,youre either a regional hood rapper, a lyrical miracle rapper, or a pop artist with elements of rap production. 50 ,Drake,Cole, Kendrick,Wiz Khalifa and to some extent Dababy are the last crossover rappers. Crossover means you're popping in the hood and the burbs, nobody did that bigger than 50 in his prime
