ROH? In 2013? Really? :MiSu:

Dat Money Maker swag :wow:

ROH is starting to get good again, ACH is the truth. I went to a show a few weeks ago and all of the matches were good to amazing. I don't think a one hour tv show can do it justice, or the booking can be a bit better.

PWG has always been piff. I haven't seen much, but the humor is awesome, and they always have the best wrestlers on the indies.

ACH and C&C Wrestle Factory are the main reasons I still check ROH shows.

It's not bad or anything, it's just that there's nothing that I really want to see right now. The only people in ROH that interest me are basically ACH and Bobby Fish, mostly due to how badly they've handled their guys time and time again.

What in the fukk are they doing with Michael Elgin? He had serious buzz last year, coming off of a fantastic run of matches on the circuit, and what is he doing now? Random SCUM matches and being fed to a returning Tommaso Ciampa? Why? Why not build him to beat Steen instead of having Jay Briscoe do it on his millionth chance at the belt?

I don't see what everyone else sees in Adam Cole at all, but it's really weird that he seems like a much bigger deal in PWG than on ROH TV and iPPV. It feels like they're never going to capitalize on his buzz either.

ROH doesn't feel like it's must see indy wrestling anymore. It doesn't feel cutting edge. Rather, it feels like it merely exists. Maybe the matches are good, maybe the angles are good, but it doesn't feel like you NEED to care about anything on the show.

You NEEDED to care about Samoa Joe's reign. You NEEDED to care about the Summer of Punk. You NEEDED to care about Danielson/McGuinness. You NEEDED to care about ROH/CZW. You NEEDED to care about Homicide's reign to the belt. Age of the Fall. Davey Richards' run to the belt. Steen/Generico. The Kings of Wrestling. Hell, even Tyler Black's horribly botched run to the title seems like it was FAR more important than anything on ROH TV right now.

Nothing seems important anymore in ROH. Nothing from SCUM seems must see now that Steen's been split off from it. I feel that, despite his popularity, Jay Briscoe being World Champion doesn't elevate him, but is indicative of the fact that ROH has fallen from grace a bit. The mid card is almost completely irrelevant, with great talent not doing anything of interest. Their TV champion is, at best, the third most important person in his own stable, with that number growing according to how many women are with Truth Martini that night, and so on.

It's just dull now. Nothing really wrong with the wrestling and the booking is good enough (only good though), but it's lost the edge that really made it what it was when it was hot and I don't see them getting it back soon.

I agree with all of that, ROH used to be something really special 2004-9, I think a lot of it had to do with the amount of talent they had, and the company also had its own identity. Right now I feel they lost what made them specia. It was impressive how they could mix technical wrestling, spot fests, and even occasional hardcore matches all on the same show. The wrestlers had a lot more freedom to develop their characters and feuds. I also prefer the production style they used to have on the dvds back then, I wish they would go with that for their tv shows, now it kinda makes them seem like just another indy promotion.

Right now it's kinda hard to care about most of the guys outside of the matches. I also prefer Adam Cole when he's on PWG as opposed to ROH. With the WWE signing up most of the best indy talent right now, I also can't see ROH being as good as it used to be in the near future.

ROH was my shyt back in the day.

I use to grab all their shows, along with other feds. I stopped around the time Aries was champ. That's when I got out of wrestling until 2 years ago.

I'm still not back into the Indy scene. It just ain't the same. :to:

Excellent post. People ley SCUM fly under the radar but look at their members.

Rhyno: :rudy:
Jimmy Rave: :comeon:

Cliff Compton: :why:
Rhett Titus:
Jimmy Jacobs: :leon: But never gets on the mic
Matt Hardy :pacspit:
Steve Corino: :flabbynsick:

They make Aces and Eights look like the horsemen.

Emo Jimmy was great fukkery (remember Ballad of Lacey) and his whole transformation was really one great long and very very underrated storyline.
:russ:

The very definition of fukkery. ROH used to be :ohlawd:
