He definitely did make players better than what they were. He was great at it and one of the best QBs ever.

Now? Not at all. It's the system and it's silly to say Brady is doing something special out there except getting the ball out extremely fast. I'm not saying he's bad, I'm not saying he's no longer one of the best QBs, I'm saying he's regressed and people are giving him too much credit for an offense that isn't thriving because he's doing something amazing. I give him credit for his ability to run that fast paced offense to perfection, to hit his receivers when they get open, but he's not the one creating space in those routes at the START of plays. Edelman, in particular, creates space in a flash to catch those passes and so do the other receivers. The reason that offense is so successful is their ability to create open and continue to make those 5 yard plays that march them straight down the field and make the defenses give up those big plays for Gronk.

One thing the league really needs to crack down on is pick plays that both Broncos and Pats abuse to hell. That shyt needs to be made illegal whenever there's contact and refs need to call it more. It's hard as hell stopping receivers as it is with the no contact after 5 yards rule, there's no need for them to gain an edge through picks.
Fast paced offense!?!? They huddled this season.

I don't understand the hate for a 6th round pick and nowhere near the best player at his position.

People are going to be IRATE when Megatron gets released and signs a team friendly deal with the Patriots, and then Josh Gordon gets released and Belichick signs him as well.

Brady+Gronk+Megatron+Gordon+Edelman+Lewis:banderas:
Idk breh :patrice: that upsets the cac to black ratio so it might not get signed off on. You know how that area is :mjpls:.

Do you know foolish this post is making you look? Did you really just say that getting out the ball that fast when everyone knows that is your intention is nothing special? IN THE NFL? So teams are just letting him do it? Why don't the other teams do that with their struggling QBs? BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT TOM BRADY. That's like me saying Peyton Manning running 10 plays his whole career was not special.........except he dominated doing it. Every successful QB ever runs an offense that plays up to their talents. Eli Manning and Aaron Rodgers run the same offense. It's pretty obvious who is better. No QB is responsible for any WR getting separation, what the fukk type of point are you trying to make? It's pretty obvious that Aaron Rodgers was not why Jordy Nelson was getting open. What makes Rodgers and Brady great is how quick they recognize you're open, ball placement and putting you in a mismatch. LOL@he's regressed while he is throwing better on the move than ever and was leading the league in all passing categories while his starting O-line was hurt and his top 4 weapons all missed games. Okay then.

but another QB did go into the Patriots system and win 11 games the first year in it :jbhmm:

That's correct, but it's not like Cassel had not been with the team until that season. He was there for three seasons before the year he started, so he's familiar with the system. I said this in another post in this thread, but all that really proves is what most people already knew, which was the Patriots had a very talented team.:yeshrug:

every other qb doesn't have receivers getting open that quickly. :camby:

how are you gonna ignore that entire point? You can't just pass the ball in 2 seconds and find a receiver if they're not actually open and separated. I'm glad you brought up Jordy as Rodgers looked a lot worse this year without his top receiver stretching the entire field. That's not to take anything away from Rodgers, but they need their receivers just as much as they need the receivers need them. And if you bring up Rodgers stats without taking into the context of what happened in games(their offense failing until trying to do gigantic comebacks in the latter half of the game) then I'm going to assume you're just looking at numbers.

If you don't think he's regressed that's fine; I mean the fact I'm suggesting Brady would be better than he currently is if he was in his prime is somehow an insult to you. :heh:
