This gorgeous Spanish girl in HS really had me wondering what her type was. Every dude wanted her but she wouldn’t even look their way. So I had to come correct to get close with her. My heart sunk when she finally confessed the type of man she was already dating.

Dude was not a looker but worked for Verizon. He paid her family’s cable and utility bills, he would drop off and pick up her little brother at pre-k school, he gave her some shopping money and would take her out on weekends.

Yea, socioeconomics play a big part in this. My college boyfriends came from money, had sports cars at 18 (and in HS), etc. There was no reason to think about older men when guys my age had money from their families to properly court.

But again, I watched the guys in my family do the same stuff when they were in college- they treated their girlfriends well so I didn’t think I needed an older guy to do those things.

Yep. MANY people look at young girls as something to be bartered. All to have access to a man’s resources. This is where girls learn to have transactional relationships and literally see their bodies and pretty faces as tools to get things from men before their looks fall off. Trifling mothers teach this, and the world will teach this if you don’t control your child’s environments and influences.

This is insane. We would probably see more of this type of stuff currently if not for smartphones and social media.

You know, my aunt and I had a talk recently. They only had sons.

She’s a retired RN and she said that the number of little girls (8, 10, 13, 14, etc) who were admitted to the hospital for “depression and pregnancy” was so alarming that she told her fellow nurses that she never wanted to have daughters. And because she had sons they said “well you know, you have sons. It’s the men who are doing this to the little girls in their homes”. My aunt said she told them “Well I just have to pray that my husband and I train them the right way so that they never do these things to someone’s daughter”.
