Makes no sense in the mid 2000s how lashley or mvp wasnt holding at least the big gold belt

Lashley had the ECW title which they said was a "world title" but it was all bullshyt. He feuded with Vince as everyone recalls but it made no sense to have that on ECW when ECW was basically damn near TVMA and all the audience wanted to see was hardcore type shyt. Vince took the book from Heyman and fukked it up.

That sabotaged Lashley with part of the fan base because he was an "outsider" in ECW :francis:

His tears behind watching kofi win made my eyes swell
Dude been fighting along time and if he was born white and a bit taller, he could have been Batista because he was more charismatic then Dave was and equal to better in ring but Dave got every chance to succeed and mvp didn’t
I thought Dave is Dominican? :ohhh:

MVP is one of my favorite wrestlers ever. I was a teenager when he first came to the wwe and I honestly thought he would be the first Black wwe champion. I actually met bruh and told him I was rotting for him to be champion one day. He was over whether he was a heel or a face. The MVP- Matt Hardy fued is a classic to this day. I remember when he got drafted to raw back in 2009 and I instantly thought he was never going to be champion because he got drafted to a show where cena, blandy, and triple nose were fighting for the belt.
He was not over as a face :russ:

That ridiculous losing streak he had killed his momentum with the fans. I think even Kizarny beat him :hhh:

The fact that MVP never got a legit world title push is crazy.

This country. It's a different playing field. In this country leaving race aside for a sec his government name is a hindrance too :francis:

MVP was on his way to being a big star in WWE but he was sabotaged too. I was happy he got a lil run in New Japan, it's incredible how in WWE he had all the mic skills you could ask for and he had become a great in-ring performer and still was held back. People will say well he had a U.S. title run but he should have been much bigger..

Remember he came in with what they said was the :to: gimmick, it was poppin Vince probably didn't fukkin understand it :stopitslime:
Getting switched to raw is what detailed his carear too much depth
While smackdown had up and comers had not been switched at they very least he would of gotten a B Ppv headline match

On a sidenote do we know what happened between him and MLW, because MLW cut all ties( had his own podcast and was wrestler/agent during the relaunch) with him and issued a press release but I haven't seen anything as to why

I think it wasn’t money related

It's shameful as hell the way the mid-2000s WWE operated. Blatantly throwing the talented guys out on the street, or forcing them into questionable gimmicks (cough Kane-Lita-Edge abortion angle), meanwhile giving babyfaces like Cena, Orton, HHH, etc extreme pushes. The same shyt happened 10 years later, with the Roman Reigns mega-push, despite people clamoring for Daniel Bryan.

I mean shyt, I remember Daniel Bryan from way back in the day, but he was buried on the undercard while guys like roided up Bautista got countless opportunities to do the same 3 moves over and over again to sell merchandise. :francis:

It's because they know in 25 years, marks will look back and go "Oh Cena had the belt X amount of times, he was the GOAT." while actual talented guys get erased from history because they had to spend 1/2 of their career at TNA because Vince wouldn't know real talent if it hit him in the face with a steel chair.

Nah cena is a goat but the title padding diluted the meaning of being a champion so much
That’s why the reigns and feuds matter so much imo

How many cans of stacker 2 did you buy, breh :mjlol:

Also, why did they make John Cena out to be some “thug life” rapper. :mjpls:

I mean his original name was “the prototype” ffs, how more blatant do they need to be. :mjlol:

He can’t be the goat, because he’s not even a wrestler - he’s a “sports entertainer” :mjlol:

Guys responsible for the shift toward melodramatic reality television in wrestling in this decade. It’s a no from me dawg. :manny:

Also, Kurt Angle washed him in their rap battle back in the day :troll:

true, the number of titles won thing is stupid Shawn Michaels won the belt four times, the Undertaker had the belt seven times and you meant to tell john fukking cena is better becuase he won it 16 times lol. Vince has a fetish if you not that type of fetish then he doesn't push you, it's a shock that koif is champion now, I thought the old man would never actually do it.

Mvp was over as a face after that losing streak in 2009, listen to the reaction to the fans when he got drafted to raw and shortly after until wwe killed his momentum again.
