But those were younger white kids who wanted to be cool.

I think we’re talking about Snoop being WHITE WHITE famous for like at least the last ten years if not 15. Like a commercial with Martha Stewart with a low key weed reference white famous

He was white white famous then. Those younger white kids from '93/'94 are now older white people. If they were 10-15 then, they are now in their late 30's to mid 40's. They grew up with Snoop.

No I mean there are 70 year old white grandmothers who never have heard a rap song that know who Snoop Dogg. I don’t think I can say that about any other rapper (maybe Em)

You do realize Snoop was breaking Elvis records in 1993. He sold like 800K+ the first week out of his debut album. He clearly had crossed over at that point. Snoop lived on MTV. He had Rollingstone covers. Think about it. Snoop was on trial for murder and was still getting all kinds of mainstream looks. Snoop backstage at the Billboard Music Awards taking questions in 1994:

Tryna tell yall

There has never been a rap artist this big ever

What’s my name is raps thriller

Because he will forever be associated with weed. One of the more accessible rappers that white people could relate too (not a slam on Snoop by the way).

Snoop basically has that hippie/stoner appeal that white people seem to be attracted to. I would put Hendrix and Bob Marley under this same category.
Its not even that everything he's been doing since 04 has been in the pop direction. Him making songs with white pop artists put him over with white people.

Snoop just has charisma and personality. Everybody around the world loves and respects Snoop. Even if it’s not about his music.

True but he appealed to whites from day-1 mainly because of his stoner persona (younger whites because of "gangsta image"). It's the same appeal Cypress Hill had to white people but Snoop's is 10x greater because he had/has more charisma.

I don't think so and I was alive when he came out. White people was terrified of him did you see that murder was the case performance and how long it took for him to be performing at the VMAs after that. People used to really think Snoop was a killer for real :russ:
