You can't judge a elite defense based on rankings. Even the average bench warmer could hit a wide open jumper in the 80's and 90's. Of course your defense can look elite when you are guarding D-fish, Rondo, John Wall, Mario Chalmers. Second tier players like Derek Harper and John Starks would roast today's defenses.
