It's been horrible for the longest, but it's at an all time worst this year. Like every got damn segment it's either someone pointing at it or a wide camera shot of it during matches. Not to mention the sign is like triple the size it use to be in year's past.

I think another reason the buyrate did poorly was because that was the first WWE PPV that wasn't available on analog cable.

I mean, the show did worse than the Royal Rumble that year, so it had to have been some freak stuff going on lol.

It's been around but I believe WMXX was the first time they started hanging the banners up mad early. The sign pointing began around WM21 or so. The "moment" shyt got outta hand right around the time HBK was getting ready to retire.

Personally I think it started with HBK and WM 12. THE BOYHOOD DREAM, THE MOMENT, etc. Then around WM 17, WM started becoming a mythical thing and guys who were fans during the first few were now on the cards and the idea of getting your WM moment became a standard talking point during the season.

I think it might’ve been first acknowledged by a wrestler during a promo around WrestleMania 22 during one of Mick Foley’s comebacks, he flat out said he never had a WrestleMania moment and that’s why he’s come back to face Edge and get one
