:lawd: some of the best food I ate was from a funeral.

You see people you ain't seen since your parent's friends fell out

Get a good sermon without paying :troll:

It's better than some parties I go to.

c/s but came to say the bolded. Went to my lil cousin's funeral last summer and you woulda thought it was a block party.

Now that I think about it, that was on the days coming up to the funeral, after the funeral everybody was :to:

I think it depends on the circumstances surrounding the death as well

That's how we did when my pops died back in '03. We had him cremated, so that morning we spread his ashes at his mother's grave (I feel weird calling her "grandma" since she died before I was born) in Evergreen Cemetery. Then we had a memorial for him, then we came back to my mother's house and :eat: Some folks from the congregation came through with food, and it was pretty much fam in the house. Only one who wasn't fam was my man and his wife who came through to show love. It was ironic though, while I was there with my family enjoying the love, I was like "man, pop hated having a house full of nikkas..."
