Cena's rating have been higher than Punk's. And Punk had Cena still on TV, and Cena has had no one on his shows, and the Raw writing/booking have been TERRIBLE. This Ryback feud has been god awful. People do not want Punk as the main focus of a show, his run as ECW Champion shows this, his first run as World Champ on Raw, I mean I don't understand why all you Punk stans take this all so personally. What's the big deal? He is a good hand in the ring when he is motivated, and a good midcard character. As Main Event, he sucks.

He also cares zero about wrestling fans in general, he always shyts on IWC on twitter, tells people not to come up to him, etc..I just don't see how people can be diehard fans of his.

Go read the Observer and stop the double talk. You can't back your way out of this shyt. It's numbers, not speculation.

What matches

Vs Austin WM 17 and Vengeance 2002 against Angle and Taker..I saw nothing wrong with those matches at any point. The WM 17 match was ingenius except the wrong man turned.

Is it me or have nearly ALL of the weekly ratings discussions disappeared since Punk lost the belt? Raw ratings have been shyt...don't see anyone claiming Cena ain't a draw

Nah..Rock got the belt..the rating was almost 4.0 for a 3 hour weekly show. Loses the belt? Goes down to 2.66. That pretty much ended rating talks of any sort of who matters and who don't.

Punk would usually gain viewers in his spots during his reign but the ratings were so all time low I don't know what to think of that.

Actually those overruns lost viewers...especially that stuff in November and December 2012. No one had ever seen anything like it.

Change my tune on D Bry? He was a draw on Smackdown. Why do you think he was used all the time? They tried to spread that with Kane in the mix but make no mistake about it..he was put over everyone and didn't get endless protective booking like Punk and Cena got. He didn't squash this guy and that guy and all that kind of shyt. They BETTER have better numbers than a depushed World Champion who they had Sheamus stealing his catchphrase to try to save his face turn.

Still...they disappointed.

Punk was doing 200-300K gains everyweek but the shows would open up to like a 2.9 so by the time all the jobbers would lose viewers it would be around 2.7-2.9 for the whole night.

Whatever the excuses are, they just didn't maintain viewership with him in the lead.
They're not really doing it with him gone either though but it's a sign of who people want to watch the most regardless of overall viewership which has so many factors other than just one worker.

If you get promoted with a match or segment and youre the WWE Champion, it does 200k? Does that seem impressive? Hardly. They'll always throw in football, playoff games, and anything it takes to try to save face but when it comes to the E and DID YOU KNOW, they'll act like they're doing as big as the old school Lakers/Kings games from 2001 and 2002.

Bryan needs to work on his promos. He wasn't getting strong reactions for his in ring promo with Kane and Orton. When he talked down to Kane it trended negatively...not like :ooh: but :scusthov: The people love his ringwork and the YES but the original reason they made him go heel in the first place was because he couldn't grasp how to do a face promo without sounding like an a$$hole. Bryan was pretty much the lovable jerk in Team Hell No because he was able to play off Kane as the straight man. Now they are having Bryan go against that dynamic and be a jerkass. He's joining up with Orton, who RKO'd him and ditching a very successful tag team with Kane. That's very heelish. So what's my point?

Well, you got a guy who's super over and you can turn him into the next BIG babyface, but leading up to the big breakout you have him acting like a jerk and it's not going over well. And the promos have been a bit :meh: On the other hand you got a super over guy and it would be stupid to turn him, even though he's been doing heelish things.

They booked themselves into a little corner. He's come across as unsympathetic right now and he might not be able to promo his way out of it. But do you squander such strong positive fan reaction because you fudged the alternative a little?

Lol I wrote nothing but facts, though. Your agenda doesnt match reality. :yeshrug:

"Cena's ratings" haven't been better, especially when you consider that its consistently been under 3.0's with not much competition. "Punk's" low ratings were during NFL playoffs and all that shyt, which cipher a lot more of Raw's viewership than anything on Mondays now. Similarly, "Rock's" high ratings were in the lead-up to Mania, when ratings are always at their highest. There's never been a shred of evidence that one guy being WWE champ over another has ever had any significant effect on ratings, and let's not pretend like Rock wasn't on those Raw's this year getting 3.0's with the rest of the roster.

I'm not in here tryna claim Punk is some ratings monster, but he's certainly not a minor character and non-draw either. People are consistently interested in whatever he does and this ratings referendum is just some petty, dishonest bid to criticize him. The proof is my original point w Bryan. Yall love to pick and choose.
