Haven't told her, don't see the reason to :ehh:

Including your pops? Are you the only person in your family that don't believe? I'm assuming that you live with your mom or pops so I can see why. Religious parents are no joke. They won't listen.

If I may ask when are you going to tell your parents? I think it will be good on your end if you tell them. You're a grown women so they should know. But like you said you don't see no reason to tell them but it'll come soon.

Can't pick one, religions are all narratives trying to express a God feeling. Putting aside the cultural context of religious stories for a min, I'm more interested in the need to believe, a need that transcends everything else. It seems we're hardwired to believe in a divine being, maybe we possess a divine gene. In some people this never gets expressed, or they suppress it ( I'm talking atheists here)

For what it's worth I do pray and it's given me comfort. I just can't be dogmatic as I think dogmatism is dangerous.

Why, they don't care, I don't care. Religion isn't really that important to my family. Me telling them what I believe in is like telling them I like dogs. They're just going to say okay and shrug.

There are bigger things that go on in our day to day lives, religion/faith is very miniscule and quite frankly unimportant to us.

People think just because you go to church makes you a good "Christian". That's a misconception. If you're a good man that believe or don't believe I'll be with you. At first I'll be disappointed but that would not stop me from loving him if he's not a believer.

If I know you are a good man then I'll stay with you no matter what. That's just how I feel. So I don't care what any hardcore Christian say because love is love. No one is perfect. I've dated both men that were believers and nonbelievers and both experience was fantastic.
Damn you sound amazing tbh. Never met a black woman that felt this way. Normally if I tell a woman I dont believe its a deal breaker. You might be the one:wow:

could you be bae??:shaq::lupe:

Sudan/New Zealand.
I did not grow up religious, but my parents family members are religious in the "old country", so i have two religious traditions in both families. My father family is Sunni Muslim and my mother is Coptic Christian, neither are religious but they were Communist/Socialist.

I am agnostic. My mother is a Christian and my father is more spiritual.

Raised Christian-Baptist (father is a preacher).

However, I've been agnostic since late 2013

:ehh: Don't practice it but I know some people who dabble in it. It does interest me and I've read a few things. I also may light a few candles on specific days every now and again

Nothing too much, I ultimately decided to bush the whole thing. We were supposed to hook up, not today but tomorrow. Then I noticed something strange. Maybe it was me overthinking it, but then I noticed the date planned, 11/1/2015. I read all sorts of stuff and I noticed that '11', the '111', the '11' from adding the dates so that's when my mind started racing. In addition to wanting to hook up at 6pm. 6x111=666. I then checked the occultic holidays and 11/1 is one of them. Then I started thinking was this some sex magick ritual I was going to be apart of unknowingly (like a big ass pentagram drawn under the bed or something) using sexual energy so she could conjure up who knows what.

I know it sounds crazy to some, and I can't say I believe in it, but a lot of folks are into stuff like that. I just read basic stuff so certain flags went up. Doesn't matter now, I'm going to err on the side of caution and disappear, but it just seemed to have too many coincidences to me to overlook.

Your thoughts? Overreaction or just know enough to get it twisted?
