The usual cliche shyt is sports car, motorcycle, tricking on broads that could be your daughter, or plastic surgery/hair shyt

Myself, zero interest in any of that. I paid off my car and WFH so barely drive anyway. Broads leave me on read one day, come over and give me ass the next, it's all the same to me. 47 with a full head of hair, going grey and not dying it.

Instead, my crisis is traveling and collecting passport stamps/stickers. I just got back from my first time in Japan/Korea and looking at deals for my next trip. Definitely want to do Cairo and the Pyramids, also Morocco and Tanzania. On this side looking at Brazil and Argentina. Got Italy on the books for next summer. A passport full of stamps and a fridge full of magnets is my shyt.

Yeah it can be mid-life shyt but I've also been traveling my whole life. Got my first passport at 6 years old, on my 7th now. The Navy took me places, but now that I'm 6/6/6 I can take off when I want, go places I used to dream about when I was worried about rent, and not worry about making it back to the boat on time.

Knowing that I can fukk somebody different every single day but being mature enough to do right by my wife. It's a mid-life crisis because it's a constant mental battle

Why does it have to be a crisis? Most of us don't have money like that to do what we want until midlife.

All that act your age stuff is for the birds and leads to an early grave. I'm 40 and can still hang with people 10-15 years younger than me, so I'm doing it because I was too broke back then to live the way I wanted.

Me, I'm just dating any and everything lately. Traveling. Will buy a new car and crib my next promotion and hopefully by then, I'll be ready to settle down.

Good topic, I'll be back with more but lately have been thinking about seeing a professional myself. Have a child with serious, ongoing mental health concerns who has been in therapy for years ( things are fortunately trending in right direction but u never can let your guard down, so that is stressful as u can imagine ), a wife who went into therapy to deal with that and then me.

I'm starting to suspect things I've been doing are not productive in long run at best and likely harmful.

I think I need to check in with someone on my own thoughts and actions. When u get older, handling business that gives u a lot of freedom. U dont have to be accountable to anyone for all the things u should be if that makes sense and talking to a pro seems like the right course. :francis:

Having a soon to be 4 year old daughter with a rare genetic disease. I now have bad insomnia and hardly sleep. Can't get comfortable at night, have to get up and walk a few miles, and my energy is drained during the day cause I have to carry her everywhere. I'm a walking shell of my old self at this point.

Hopefully you find balance breh.

I see why folks are obsessive at work, because their homelife is unsatisfying at best, and turbulent at worst.

I mean it's fine. It's just like... coming home I have to take out the trash and scoop the cat litter and then start making lunch for the wife cause she hasn't eaten yet cause she's been tending to the baby all day, and I have to pay the bill she forgot to pay and then buy plane tickets to go see her family and then... and then... and then.... It's just a lot of shyt.

Some days I'd like to just come home and kick off my shoes and drink a damn beer.

My son is strong as hell, though so that's cool.
