I ain't gonna lie, after poppin a disk(herniated disk) in my back in January doing some heavy deads I haven't been doing any lower body at all.
back still hurts doing other shyt but I ain't gotta worry about it poppin again doing other shyt.

I should probably start workin back in to it but I'm to afraid to do squats and deads again cuz I remember how much it fukkin hurt last time

how are lunges on the back? they seem to be pretty effective

herniated a disk a couple years ago i never feel comfortable doing any barbell squats or deadlifts. Everything else is cool.

Leg day is today for me.

Have you tried front BB squats? Shouldn't be too bad on your back.

I usually start with bulgarian lunges/split squats-gets the blood filled up in the quads and hams pretty quickly. I'm in to my volume so minimum 8 sets (4 either side). Then on to leg press partial reps focusing on quads mainly. Then on to leg extensions to really deplete the quads. By this point my quads are :dead: so i move on to some hamstring work with leg curls. Once I've filled the hams up and they're ready to blow I go on to a big compound movement of 10 sets of 12. Usually squats/deads or a variant like sumo deads.
