Definitely getting an N64 with Goldeneye and Diddy Kong Racing as a kid, but there was a massive ice storm in Montreal that winter and my house lost power for a week and I couldn't play

I think 1992. Had a snes but only game I had was super mario world. Mainly played my on my sega genesis.
That christmas, i got mario kart, street fighter 2, super soaker, donatello and raphael tmnt turtle transforming figures, batman returns action figure.
1996 i got a n64 and mario 64. Its a tie between 92 and 96.

Like.many others have said, 98 when I got ocarina of time. Had saw it first previewed in EGM in 96. Thought I'd never get to play the game. That winter was so dope too bc come Jan and Feb, we had a bunch of ice storms where we got out of school for a week and a half. Stayed over my God brothers house during those breaks and would play OOT and then walk to Mcdonalds. Damn man that was a magical time.

3 Christmas days stand out to me as a kid/teen:
- 92' staying up playing madden with my bro until we could open our gifts. One being Street Fighter 2 for SNES
- 98' my first console that I didn't have to share was the N64. Got it,
Courtside, and Mario 64. Moms got me WCW Revenge a few months later. GOAT gaming year for 10 year old H_z. - 06' First console I got around launch and with my own money was ps3. Grabbed a 20gb on launch because that's all that was a available. Was able to flip it for a 60gb fat 3 days before Xmas. Greedy lil nikka refused to settle
. Resistance and 2k7 held it down until Warhawk, Uncharted, and cult shyt like Folklore dropped. Struggle was rizzeal.
