We never had wrestling on tv in the Netherlands, until 2001. A pretty big tv station here started showing hour-long Raw episodes on primetime Friday night. Ratings must've been terrible, because it only lasted for about 2/3 months.

The first episode I saw was the one with Kurt Angle and the milk truck. Reading a recap of that episode now, it sounds horrible. A midget Booker T, a Perry Saturn and Moppy promo video, no match longer than 5 minutes, DDP beaten by Sara in 6 seconds. But 10 year old me loved it:wow:

Absolute earliest memory of mine? I think I stumbled upon WCW Worldwide one Sunday morning. At the time I believe they were discussing the fallout from Halloween Havoc ‘89. Got hooked from there.

Interestingly, the very first PPV I ever attended live was Havoc ‘90 a year later, when it came to Chicago.

I think Austin/Taker/Kane were in a three way feud.

So I think they got booked in rotating handicap matches on Raw. Not sure which of the three matches started that, but it was one of those.

:edit:

i think I made that up.

I was 6 (1987), mom's took me to the Cow Palace in San Francisco. Had my Hogan teddy bear booing Andre the Giant as he's walking to the ring. He stops and looks directly at me like :birdman:. So I start :damn::to::sadcam:. And I remember moms laughing:pachaha:

I think it was the episode of Superstars where Savaged proposed to Elizabeth and Hogan and Ultimate Warrior agreed to team against Slaughter and General Adan (or whatever the Iron Shiek was going by lol) at a match for Sumerslam 91

Man, it had to have been like '95 or so. I was barely 3. They had the photo of Yokuzuna and whoever his oppenent was going to be that night. Breh had the :birdman: going on in the picture. I don't know why, but I walk up to the television with my face nearly touching it, and give the photo of Yokuzuna the :stopitslime: Next thing I knew, Yoko's photo started moving and emoting. nikka went from :birdman:--> :pacspit: --->:fire:

I screamed like a bytch :damn: and ran up stairs calling for ma dukes. I think that was the first time they played with the moving still frames of the wrestlers, but I know for a fact Yoko moved and swore he was checking the disrespect. Never did that shyt again and always sat a good distance from the tv after that.
